  1. Yep, by pulling the plunger out youve stuffed the switch
  2. Rear swaybar links can knock like that
  3. Basically yes
  4. Lol well it is in the sense it doesnt use a battery monitor
  5. Not for falcon as its a slightly dumber smart charge but silver calcium batteries are crucial for focus/mondeo sz territory diesel and px ranger as these have a much more advanced system... If it was essential for falcon ford wouldve put silver calcium batteries in from factory (which they didnt)
  6. Bit more info- all BFs mk1 onwards and FG are smart charge equipped except bf xr8s which have a conventional alternator... What battery stuff?
  7. 07 I believe??
  8. Rember late bf and fg have smart charge so can only be tested properly with an oscilliscope unless completely stuffed
  9. Blocked cat
  10. Nah shouldnt change how it runs, unless battery was disconnected
  11. Hmmm what do u mean by horrible noise? What sort of noise? Can you upload a vid?
  12. Iv had a couple of faulty brand new tps before, if the tps and app signals have a correlation the car wont start... But make sure everything is plugged in on the throttle body first... And make sure batterys not flat
  13. Never seen that code before and cant find it in wsm... Sounds battery related
  14. On fg you dont need to change entire column, you can buy the ignition lock separately
  15. A what sorry?
  16. If the battery light isnt on chances are alternator is fine, when you have the battery disconnected the KAM (keep alive memory) is reset in the ecu. If the throttle body is dirty this can cause stalling as the ecu needs a clean throttle body to re learn its idle strategies etc.. Try giving it a clean and resetting the kam again. May or may not fix it
  17. Like any modification you should always get it checked but changing to a marginaly more effective cooler will not change much
  18. story of a techs life... More info
  19. Ford, repco, bursons even supercheap could get them
  20. Ninkas right plus the spool gears dont cover housing mods like a complete atomic oil pump but il see if I can get around that
  21. Open loop is also used on WOT... 40-50l per 100 is very high though... Try removing the cluster fuse for 1min and see what the economy reading does. Also most morons with a scan tool dont have the latest calibrations
  22. If cat is standard you wont have a problem
  23. I supposr iv had to repeat myself so many times
