  1. ohh well tried to stir some sh*t up. did not work. lets move on.
  2. hi people. just been on the ls1 forums and they have a post quoting from the january issue of MOTOR mag where they tested the hsv ls2 gto. it says that it did 4.99 secs 0 - 100kph and did the quarter in 13.09. that is absolutely amazing in my books and although you cannot always beleive what you read if this is true this is awesome as it is only 297kw. they also compare the hsv r8 with the mark II gt. sounds like a good read.
  3. it is not really a squeek macvibe. it is more of crack. it is like the steel is starting to crack. it only happens sometimes when I go over bumps, so it is not a constant noise. do not think a lube will fix it. you're problem sounds different and I do not know what it may be. I havent done anything. I have taken cro's advice and left it for now.
  4. I hear ya. the times.... they are a changin'. but there will always be room for v8's. my last car was a hsv senator and when I put the foot to the metal it always put a smile on my face and every one else who drove it. than feeling cannot be beaten in anyones language
  5. f*ck that. your advice is top notch. if you get this rubber deal done to it and it works pm me. I think you have done it before. good on ya buddy
  6. is it a recall?
  7. so cro.. do you know what ford may do to fix this problem when I take it in? can they stuff it even more. and why will you not go for this tsb thing. by the way call me stupid, what the f*ck is a tsb
  8. I actually posted that to reach 100 posts. woo hoo !!!!!!
  9. stock vs stock, from what I have read here the list will go something like this. f6 no 1 xr6t no 2 gt no 3 ls1 no 6 behind the focus.... he he he. my opinion on this is that you cannot beat a forced induction turbo, although the boys on the ls1 forums will definitely disagree with me on this with their 'you cannot beat cubic inches sh*t'. all mad cars as far as iam concerned
  10. will do. thanx for that boys.
  11. do you think it would be worth it for ford to have a look or should I just live with it.
  12. I did not test drive mine either. I wonder how many people have done this
  13. thatnx for that. I have a december 2003 build but I do not think that I will be grinding anything down. I just hope that it does not get worse. did you say that the cars built between june 04 - august 04 have more of this problem?
  14. good to hear buddy. I bought my t just over 2 months ago and I love it. no problesm to really mention but that handbrake whoosh whoosh is starting to drive me mad. apart from that there is nothing forme to complain about. ohh and welcome to the forums.
  15. petrol is definitely a concern these days. imagine the hsv ls2 engine. now that will suck up some petrol

  17. hello guys. I am not sure if this is normal this cars suspension. I am going to try and explain it. the suspension on my t is great. when I go over bumps it is smooth but sometimes when the car goes over a number of bumps in the road and I have my windows down I can hear like cracking sound. hard to explain the sound but it is like there is a crack in the suspension and it seem to crack more and more. it is not a smooth woosh or a hard bubum noise it is more metally or tinny. it does not affect the car it is just a weird noise. I can hear it usually when I am driving next to a wall or something which reflects the sound back onto me. anyone help me out? does anyone understand what I am saying?
  18. track.... that would have to be one of the funniest things I have seen for a while. sorry to hear that you have all these problems but that cracked me up.
  19. doesnt motor magazine have the typhoon do the 0-100kph @5.76 secs or am I missing something
  20. has it got something to do with the fast reply.
  21. what he said. and I dont know how to get the guy with the sign to say it...
  22. I do not think that mk1 t's will have a bad rep at all. when it comes time to sell in say 3-4 years time my mk 1 with 30,000 km on the clock will easily get the sale over a mk 2 with 60,000 km on the clock as they are basically the same car. any car, any make will have problems, and the mk2 (if it has problems) will be similar to the problems encounteres with the mk 1 my 2 cents
  23. I have had mine for about 2 months now. it is a december 2003 build and I love it. I have some brake shudder on really heavy braking at speed, the power steering at lock can shake sometimes, gear does not go into reverse untill I accelerate (sometimes) but really this is about the extent of it. others on here have had other problems of course but if you single out a particular brand of car and have people writing onto a forum, they are going to outline the problems as well as good features. I would say that sometimes people are also very picky. you spend $50,000 for a car I guess you can be, but seriously, IMO my problems can be found in any car and I do not even see them as being problems really.... others may. I would say get a second hand t with low k's on the clock, good NRMA inspection and you will be sweet. Good Luck
  24. hsv senator to the xr6 turbo. the xr6 kills the senator.

    New Ad

funny thing about the ad is that it shows the xr6 t but says that it has 260kw of power. there is a written blurb at the bottom that states that the xr8 has the 260. I think the original ads did not have the little written bit at the bottom which is I think quite misleading. anyway I like it because that is my car up on the screen. woo hoo
