Raising Boost
12 second VL's aren't that difficult to come across. Finding one that can do it and still be anywhere near as comfortable, all-round capable, subtle, and classy as an XR6T or FPV, however... Let alone avoiding unwanted attention from the constabulary... Karen, welcome to the forum! Edit will do you wonders.

Bf Fpvs
Something about horses and courses, boats and the floating thereof... I love em both.

Oooh!
Found out the following today from the FPV documentation at the dealer: 1: They're having issues with the colour Fantasy, it's not available yet. 2: Brembo brakes are now standard on all BF FPVs. 3: 6 speed auto optional on all BF FPV's including utes. 4: Orders for FPV's will be accepted at 1st October, for at best case 1 November delivery. 5: Climate control & Premium sound is available as option on Tornado Ute. 6: The BF FPV range will be more expensive, unsure exactly how much yet. The dealer will have a quote for me on Monday.

Z Is Gone, Helllooooooo Typhoon !
mmmm Silhouette F6 Typhoon.... Yummy! The new SS ute's deserve respect (with the right driver of course) for sure. For quick utes - in one of the current motoring mags, they compare the Maloo, the Super Pursuit, and the F6 Tornado. The HSV Maloo is one quick utility - even though it has a different chassis and suspension that's near-useless for a load... Why not Edit the F6 anyway, and prove the point somewhat decisively... with three mates in the car?

Bf Utes - Colour Icc?
Is anyone able to confirm that the colour ICC (premium sound with 6 stacker) or the Luxury interior pack (with dual zone CC) is available for the BF utility? Specifically BF XR6T or FPV BF Tornado... Cheers Nick

Oooh!
OK quizzed the FPV dealer harder on the phone today. It is able to be ordered but build will not start apparently until October 10. Delivery is average 7-10 working days after build (yeah right), so delivery would be end October but more likely first week in November. So real answer is that I could potentially have my new BF Typhoon or Tornado by 4th November which is 7 weeks from today... What's the Project Management rule again...? Double the timeframes, add 10% and then think about putting it on paper... I'll go see his FPV dealer information that he got yesterday, and consider my options...
-
Oooh!
SavageD - I haven't ordered yet either... Where are you from, perhaps an extra order will bring it down further...? Sydney Motorshow 13th... counting down...

List Of Problems
...I fail to see the "Problem" bit there... hehehe of COURSE they'll help you... Do they pay for the dinner(s) and movie(s) as well? lol...
-
Oooh!
Hm. Will wait and see what happens. Hopefully I can get a cool build number too.
-
Oooh!
Lol. Thanks for the oh-so-subtle well-wishing. :flippingfinger: I'm sceptical as well, but hey - for the right price I don't mind if it takes a few weeks longer. I'm wondering if he's sales-ing up the fact that the vehicle could start BUILDING in three weeks... which would be right for a late October delivery. I guess proof will be when he hands me the keys... And F6Ute - yep, see what he says when I tell him it'll be $500 off for every day it's late...

Oooh!
My FPV dealer just called.... ...And said that I can have my backside in a brand new BF 6 speed auto FPV F6 Typhoon in a colour of my choice... IN THREE WEEKS!!! :wootjump: *ohlordgrantmethepowertoresisttemptation* *drooling starts* *uncontrollable reaching for chequebook* I'll... uh... be back...

40,000km Interim $ervice Done - Was I Ripped Off?
Vote with your feet. Service elsewhere that will give you honest advice, real service, not try and ream you sideways with a #3 Philips and smile politely whilst asking for your credit card... Seriously, after one service with each of the Ford dealers in Canberra, I would only take it to one specific one - and then under pain of suffering to the service manager (and I make sure they know it too) if they try anything dodgy... I personally get my cars serviced at a place where they can do all warranty work and do not use 1st year apprentices to work on my $50,000 car... In other words not a Ford dealership...

Lpg Injected Gas
Ah gotcha. Minstral, is it being developed to fit and function perfectly with an XR6 Turbo or F6?
-
Lpg Injected Gas
What's going to be involved with assisting? Any expected problems, or are they just looking for a test mule?

Need Advice From People Who Buy New Cars Often

Lpg Conversion On A T?
Anywhere in Canberra for that to be done? Would be interested to hear any first hand (or 2nd hand for that matter) info or experience with LPG on a BA, especially a turbo...?

Mitsubishi Evo Ix
The mitsubishi australia site doesn't have the E9 anywhere - only E8... When will the info be available? So they're obviously available for order!

Bf Fpvs
FPV329 - How did you put an order for a BF in? The dealer's I've spoken to haven't got a bleedin clue yet... I want a BF F6 auto...
-
Bf Falcon
So when does the FPV range come out with the 6 speed auto then? Come on FPV and Ford, I'm waiting to put a darn signature on an order... I've held off till today with baited breath and they still don't know!!! so many different emotions waiting for a new car... :w00t:

Thats Why Oil Is So Expensive
Mercedes did a lot of these, here's a few. True chrome paint. Here's a couple. My favourite is the supercharged V8 SLR McLaren... - damn it's fine.

Typhoon
chrisf6 - Wow... $54,500! How did you get that price drive away? That's better than I've been able to chase anywhere around here...

Quad Exhaust Options?
Guys 'n Gals, I'm investigating the option of a quad or dual exhaust to fit onto my next car (whether it's a F6 or just an XR6T), that has the exhaust outlets on either side of the rear skirt. Herrod make a quad exhaust, but I haven't heard of any other options around. Can people assist me in making a list of what is available, along with prices if known? Not real interested in custom work, I would rather a "tried and true" item with some R&D behind it. Cheers Nick

My Next Car... Opinion Poll?
Well if the rumours about Ford doing their product release briefings on the new falcon next week are true... then I'll find out the facts next week...! So far the current MkII F6 Manual is looking good, but will hold my judgement for a week until I find out about this briefing... :yumyum:

My Next Car... Opinion Poll?
What does Mal Wood do to make the driveline smooth? Anyone had it done, how much $'s and how much improvement? So far there's close to 1/2 each way for MkII manual vs MkIII auto... This is killing me, I love manual cars, but I've driven the ZF 6 speed in a Jag and yummy! Argh!

My Next Car... Opinion Poll?
Thanks guys, any more input? Mark - Funny thing that... I've been trying to convince the lady that she needs a Forester for the last 6 months... lol. I think many of the issues I had with the MkI will not really apply here. Brakes on FPV are better, gearbox is better, only thing I'm not sure of for the FPV is the driveline shunt that I had on the MkI... The chance of me putting an Edit on a T/F6 are slim to none, until factory warranty has expired... Cheers
