  1. My ex-cop chaser is going well. Oil is good. Brakes better than any standard XR6T. Only problem. A small Kangaroo just ran into the side of my car. Doing 60K slowing to 50K in a town. Roo ran into my front wheel. Dints to front guard behind wheel and front passenger door. Cops put 60K on this car without a scratch. Not happy
  2. Hi , I have noticed the same thing with my FG XR6T after several weeks of owning. Fine when I first bought it -- now feels like the " accelerator cable is sticking" -- don't even know if the FG has one. A few weeks ago I hired a FG XR6 NA for 10 days. Only 5K on the clock. --- Did the exact same thing. I found that if I gently increased revs to about 1200 for a few seconds all fixed. Have no idea

    Thanks
  4. Can't see the problem, except 25K is to much. Just bought a 2009 FG Chaser for 31K. Same k's. Probably better performance than a Bf Typhoon, still got 2 years mans' warranty. Full service, new tires, Typhoon brakes and suspension.

Hi, Looking for a Tuner in Canberra - has anyone any ideas Thanks
  6. Hi , Have no idea - all very new to me. Have tried to attach pics. Front and rear shots. Would be nice to know. Very good brakes all the same.
  7. Don't know if this is any help. I had a BF MK2 XR6 NA with a similar problem. Turned out it was just a loose connection on an exhaust sensor. Located at the rear of the engine near the fire wall , drivers side. Just an idea
  8. Hi , I have heard a lot about 1/4 times. I live in Merimbula NSW Sydney - 6 hrs Melbourne - 7 Hrs Canberra - 3 Hrs Would love to try a timed 1/4. Can anyone give me some hints. Thanks Forgot to mention I have a FG Chaser
  9. Hi Redback, Thanks for the positive response. I just bought a car to suit my budget, Not up to buying a new car where the price drops $10,000 as soon as you sign the bit of paper. So far the car is excellent. A few scratches and drill holes. Who Cares. Performance, handling, brakes - best there is. Would I be better off buying from a unknown private who has "Flogged the car to death". Or from the NSW Police Force who has " flogged the car to death" done every service possible and I get 5 years warranty. If the turbo blows - $3,000 I believe. As I said - Happy so far
  10. 21 downloads in 1 day - can't be all bad.
  11. Quick response. A few scratches under the front spoiler. 50% before 50% mine. Motor etc - like new. Bit of a learning curve As for punishment - I have read quotes of 5-7,000K with a set of tires. 20+ ltr/100km. I expect 10 X that with tires and 1/2 that with fuel. I bought the car for the potential - not to flog. Had a worked XC 351 - 350 hp a few years ago. The xrt is not much stronger but much smoother. Much better handling and brakes. I will let all know in a year how it all develops. Regards

  13. Hi All, looks like that stirred up a hornets nest. ?How much is a few K more --- 3 to be precise Not interested in a 'privately owned minter '. For 31K it would be greater than 12 months old. Less than 12 months warranty. If I decide to sell next year I will have zip warranty. No, I am happy to pay a bit extra and get 5 years/200K warranty. rab - what is a'year old hammered ex cop chaser'. Serviced to the extreme. Every few K. This car came from Yass. Did long miles - 60 K in a year is nothing. I did more as a Poker Machine Technician for 10 years in a crap commodore. Did someone mention brakes. These are mint. Not a scratch. Not a sign of wear. Smooth. Brilliant. If you paid 8K for your brakes I am sure you would be aware of the difference. A cop car probably sits on cruise at 100K waiting for some poor P plater in his VL Late model camira doing 105 K . Easy money. Does a U turn and brakes from 80k. The brakes are designed to go down Conrad at 300K and slow to 80K. Normal Police routine is a joke. I am sure all of you XRt's out there with Brembo's are aware of this. Hey- yes - I like the wheels. Top Gear did a bit on tyres a while ago. 18's did 20's every time. NSW Cop's refused to take standard XR6T's a while ago - brakes were not up to the job.
  14. Looks like I bought one of the next batch. Identical to the White one but different plates. Bought through a dealer. Paid a few grand more than $28 but opted for a 5 year 200,000 km parts and labor warranty. New tires - front and rear - rego till June 2011 - a few scratches and drill holes. Extremely tight car considering. 12 months old - 60K. Came from Yass. Motor is Clean -oil VG - some oil leaks from diff. Will have it fixed shortly under warranty. The interior has a few marks. Cig burn in passanger seat - pen marks above passenger seat - basic fit-out - single cd - extremely good to drive. brakes are best I've seen. Have no regrets at this time. Full ( over the top ) service history. Calibrated speedo. Brembo Brakes - Typhoon wheels. Don't be afraid to buy one . At the right price.
