  1. Happy Birthday WILDB!

  2. 2008 onward LV's are what you want to go for, they are a fantastic car and respond very well to mods.
  3. I went Brembos very early in the car's life and without a doubt it's been the best $ I've ever spent. Once you've had a car with decent brakes there is no way you could ever put up with the stock FG brakes.
  4. Hi Karen, I'm very sorry to hear of your situation. As others have asked what sort of warranty was it? Myford, Blue Care etc? These are all underwritten by third parties (not Ford) and they are the ones who make the decisions as to yes or no - knowing which one may help with some sort of explanation as to why repair authority has been denied. Has the vehicle got any modifications at all? I.e LPG or something? How many km were on the vehicle at time of failure? Do you have a complete service history? I.e services done by the book based on distance or time? No late services?
  5. They've got quite a few at work, several different colours. Kinetic is probably the pick of what I've seen so far, looks similar to Shockwave but with a deeper metallic fleck. White looked aweful on that front end compared to FG1 IMO. New ICC is nice, I don't mind the new cluster design but hate the annoying chimes they seem to be going with now - like the PX Ranger.
  6. Happy Birthday WILDB!

  7. Didn't cost me much at all, but I work at the dealership so that doesn't really count.... It took half an hour for them to fit and program it. Next thing to get done.
  8. Here's a few new pics of mine. Got myself an F6 cluster as well.
  9. Not too sure, but there is a different part number in microcat for FPV's with 6 pot brakes.
  10. Utes are class 6 CTP whereas sedans are class 1, that's where the difference is.
  11. I've just got an old BA Typhoon rim in the boot as the spare.
  12. I upgraded my fronts to Brembo 6 pots and rears to bigger PBRs about 6000km ago. I've got this exact issue with my front left brake. It never does it with the right. Has anyone who's had arms replaced experienced the vibration again? I can get a set of arms easily, but don't wanna get them unless it definitely fixes the problem...
  13. Any more feedback on these, I'm considering going down this road if they aren't crapola.... Anyone had them fitted for a while? How do they wear?
  14. No mate, still stock tune.
  15. They're Speedy Infernos - 19x8.5". You can get them in a staggered fitment with 9.5" rears, but I went the same all round. It did look like an Ex HWP before, they were the cheapest wheels I could get to fit the Brakes. I had both passengers side wheels buckle from a pothole, the front drivers buckled from hitting a hump in the road. I think I must have got a weak set....
  16. Got some new wheels fitted due to the 3 of the Phoon wheels buckling within the space of a week... I'm looking at getting some vinyl cut to go in front of the IC grille to line up with the other 2 to fill in a bit of the white. Also going to change the Lovells springs for some Kings and new struts.
  17. Here's my FG, moved up from a modded XR5 Focus in September. Loving every minute Here's a pic about an hour after I picked it up: And how it sits now: Mods so far are Herrod IC piping, Growler, Lovells springs and brakes. I've gone 6 pot Brembos at the front and Territory PBR rears with DBA 4000 slotted rotors and braided lines all round. Got a cheap set of BA Typhoon 18s to fit the brakes under. Would've preferred 19s but anyway
  18. I have the same setup as CHLAXN except with DBA 4000 rotors and braided lines all round. The pedal feel is fantastic! Very progressive and responsive. The stopping power is phenomenal compared to stock. They are pricey but worth every cent IMO. Here's a pic of my fronts: Whole car (bit HWPish )
  19. Take them back for parts warranty. Ford genuine parts have a 12 month/20000km warranty.
  20. Yes, but only if you have Brembo calipers.
  21. Hey mate, 355mm are from the 4 and 6 pot Brembos, so you'd need them to fit these rotors. They'll only go on the front. The larger single pot PBR rear is for a 328mm vented rotor. The Brembo rears are a 330mm rotor - also vented. Hope that helps. Will.
  22. Just wondering if anyone has had issues with Lovells springs sagging or settling unevenly? I fitted some FFL-110 and FRL-112 springs to my FG a couple of few weeks ago, they looked fine when they first went in but looking at them now it would appear that the passengers front has settled almost an inch lower than the drivers side. They both looked even before fitment and even after being fitted.... I don't understand because I haven't had any passengers or weight in the passengers side of the car since fitment. Wondering if it's common for Lovells? Because if so I'll ditch them and get some Kings instead.
  23. Thanks for the fast response. I can't forsee myself doing any trackdays in it. I drive up and down a mountain range every day so I want pads with a bit better bite and better heat and fade resistance - I do a bit of spirited driving every so often, but certainly nowhere near as hard as track work... Will.
  24. Hey Guys, I'm looking at replacing the brake pads in my FG to improve braking a tad and just wondering if anyone has specific recommendations for brands etc? Any advice appreciated. Cheers, Will.
