It's time to do this again! If you haven't been before, it's a real fun day out. Wakefield is a nice small track, with only one wall down the main straight, plenty of run off area's and most corners are nicely cambered. It's a real good way to explore the limitations of driver and car in a legal setting. A few bits of advice: Ensure your tyres still have a bit of life in them as they will be punished, run them about 45-50psi (yes that says 45-50psi). The same goes for your brake pads, they will be punished and if you have standard brakes you will feel a lot of brake fade so limit the amount of laps you do Make sure your car is in tip top condition, if you are leaking oil or anything like it don't go as the clean up bill will be huge. Do a warm up lap or two so you can get into the rythem and learn/relearn the race lines, and do a cool down lap (preferrably 2). When parked after a few laps do not put your hand brake on. You will need to wear a long sleeved shirt, long pants and closed shoes. Bring a jumper as it gets bloody cold down there. For some more info, check out the thread for the last day we went out: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...mp;hl=wakefield And the Wakefield Park Website: http://wakefieldpark.com.au/ There is a general open track day on Tuesday July 15. It'll cost you $110 for the day $50 for a Wakfield license (valid for 12 months) and $20 for a helmet if you don't already have one. Wakefield Park is 15 minutes out of Goulburn, and we will be meeting at Pheasants Nest (Mobile Service Station) at about 6:30am for a 7:00 sharp departure. Pheasants Nest is about 30 minutes South of Narellan Road on the Hume Highway (M5). So who's going? Cro RAP1D rjs Turbo6man SOFT (Maybe) list: Iconic Bionic TONTINE (ultra soft) ExAreSix

Bob finished off another one of my cars today @ 18%, that makes 3 cars that he's done for me so far. He came into a bit of a problem, when he found a small hair on the back window... Rather than let me go (even though I said it was ok) he ripped it out and did it again. All of this on 1 days notice. If this bloke doesn't define the word LEGEND I don't know what does...

It would make life easier for everyone if you were in possession of a UHF CB Radio. That way everyone can stay in contact, the leader can relay information about cars, road hazzards and directions... Cheap CB's which will allow you to hear updates from the leader are available from any electronics store (I.e. Dick Smith) for under $40 each. Decent CB's which will enable you to communicate at least 2km's in either direction are available for around $160. If you need help with getting a CB, advice on which CB to get and which one not to get, etc.. Send me a PM WARNINGS The roads we are going on are very tight and windy. There are hazzards such as rocks, branches, etc.. lying on the road (why we ask you to have a CB) This is a very long cruise, covering over 650km's. A 2km section of road is unsealed. We have gone over this road (very slowly) on a previous cruise with no issues. This road is in better condition than a lot of sealed roads. You have to consider all these circumstances before you decide if this cruise is for you. So who's in? Definitely the best Pizza I've had in Sydney. Nice wine selection too La Fornia at Condell Park used to be the best many years ago, but they've since started skimping on quantity and quality....

We found him!!! The very next day he flew some 16kms to a tree in Doonside (of all places) and got attacked by some wild yellow beak birds. He then flew right down to some one who was having a smoke on his front veranda and landed on his shoulder :D The family then kept him in their avairy, as well as taking him inside every now and again for the next week and a bit. Today the man went to his local pet store to get him some more bird seed, and saw a flyer that PetSearch.com.au distributed to 50 pet stores and vets in Western Sydney. He called me straight away, and we went to see him straight away He is now home, has had a bath and some of his usual foods, now snuggling up with my wife Thanks to all for keeping an eye out, and this thread active

It was an ad for a finance company (called Simple Finance I think) in Wollongong, and it was aired in the Illawarra Region. -
Bump... Still missing :( Printing out another 2000 flyers tomorrow, so we'll have a lot of walking to do this weekend

The faulty tyre comments are from the old days, however the lack of grip comments are still valid. There are much better alternatives for the same price/even cheaper.

Not yet... Printed out 1200 half page flyers with colour pics today, doing letterbox drops today/tomorrow between work. I put his cage outside, with fresh food and water and a few of his favourite treats hoping he would see it on his flights. I'm still hopeful...

Hi Guys, he is 6 years old and we found them then lost him again this morning.... We heard him screaching, and I tracked him down to a tree in another street. When the fireies got there they were trying to get the ladder steady and it scared him off... I've been looking for him all day, yelling his name out trying to get a peep out of him wherever he is. I have flyers all around St Clair, St Mary's, Erskine Park, Colyton, Minchinbury and Mt Druitt. I've visited all the Vets & pet stores in the area and am placing an ad in the local paper for 2nd June. Because he's never been outside before he doesn't know where we live, so I can only hope he gets hungry comes down from a tree and finds someone who will look after him... He was last seen flying in West St Clair, heading towards Mamre Road but I don't think he's crossed it yet. Thanks!! Ivan

Hi Guys, I know it's a long shot... BIG REWARD $$$$ Alexandrine Parrot, Buddy. A Very loved long term member of our Family. Please phone Ivan & Marianne on 0417 333 441 or 0417 500 726 He constantly says these phrases: Gimme Kiss (followed by a kiss noise), Hi Buub, Hi Buuuddy, Ne (when he does something naughty). He screeches very loudly when he hears shouting and makes a loud bird call when he hears a bus, loud car or motorbike engine. He loves all different variants of human food (when not eating parrot seeds), especially green or red colour fruits/veggies, biscuits, Coke Zero, Orange Juice, tries to drink/eat from your own plate and will say his phrases (especially kiss). He is a vibrant green alexandrine parrot with a red and black ring, and is distinguishable by his off centre beak. (See Pictures) Here are some pics: http://doncro.dyndns.org/pics/family/Pets/Buddy/ This is what I mean by his offcentre beak: http://doncro.dyndns.org/pics/family/Pets/...img?action=page
