When you say boost comes on do u mean like its starting to come on or do u mean its at max psi at 2500 ?

Cant you just use the orginal earth of the battery from upfront and use it in the boot to saver making up a new one? afterall isnt it just hooked on to the body from standard anyway ?

Maybe your car was fitted with a system like the new audi rs5's that fires a droplet for fuel into the exhaust to make changing gear sound interesting and now its gone on the fritz

wat about for a flash 2 ?

Just had a play around with a mates ezy flash on his subaru, did some live data veiw and active logging and its just fantasic stuff, once the results are on the computer theres not alot you cant look at. My question, Can you download the SCT software for a flash 2 from anywhere to allow you do log data ???

Im not totally sure, never herd a turbo'd car with a cat that had collapsed, however a mate had an el falcon and the hi flow cat in it collapsed and it had no real power, didnt want to rev, and was really quiet, once the cat was removed, "hi flowed" then refitted, it was twice as loud as it used to be, and it had power again. So if its the same in turbo'd cars you would think that the cat would be the problem??

Think the cat may be completly falling apart now, after a run tonight theres not alot of power once u get over 3750rmp, and the cars getting a lil quieter, no one at all has had troubles with the CES centre mufflers colaspsing ?

So What was it ??

That's the most ridiculasly low system ive ever seen. Y not just kick it out the side skirt, looks tuff on utes I think

Back when I had my AU I had the same problem, put and twin tip on and it made this horrible shreek noise the harder it reved the more horrid it became I found that it wasnt the tip, but the way it had been welded on, when it was put on there was a build up of weld, (im guessing to fill a gap), This created an edge inside the single part of the tips, thus when the air rushed over it = horrible sound. I removed the tip die ground away the build up of weld and re welded the tip myself and problem was fixed, and mind u inside of the tips there wasnt much weld but it was enough to make it sound like a 40knot wind rushing through the cracks in your house door. I Know that sounds odd but that's really the sorta shreek it sounded like

Ok so this week just gone ive installed a Plazmaman Plenum and surge tank to my car 05 ba xr6T took it to Elite Autp for a tune expecting some easy power gains however this wasnt to be. There were a few minor problems, Bad fuel batch etc, however after working through them and getting down to business the car wouldn't make over 320rwkw and wont hold 15psi after 5000rpm trails off to 13. Now before you start jumping in saying its the actuator, the turbo port and stronger actuator mod has been done, along with a rapid cooler, hotside piping, Ces 3.5 inch exhaust, injectors plus previous mods. So it was hard for me to understand why the power had dropped from 317 rwkw to 313 rwkw and the boost doing all sorts of funny things. Tim pulled the car off the rollers and we inspected the cat as stated its a ces item, the old design with a oval shaped core, wasnt too bad through the centre but the outside looked rather blocked. All along Tim was sure it was something to do with the muffers or cat, as theres quite alot of back pressure. So A) who here has been running a CES exhaust for over 2 years and found any Troubles ? and B) What Is a good Bang for Buck Cat to replace that can go easily into the system ? Eg 3.5 inch inlet outlet Any findings/opions are appriciated as this still is hard to get my head around Cheers

Well it may have taken a little while but we got there at the end of the day, plenum is finally on there and just by following chris from rapids how too, it wasnt any trouble at all

I will be down the CG in 4 days mate will have the net on down there if u are headin out for a cruise leave a post and I'll bring mine out

Well drove around for a while tonight and I couldnt tell any different and correct me if im wrong but wouldnt the computer be able to tell if there was more fuel going in by the instantainous fuel measurement, as mine has not changed at all after the install and doesnt smell fuely or anything like that

Yeah mate all runs fine havnt test driven yet as im starving so after tea I shall see wat it drives like shouldnt be much different if any really

Now for the plenum but that can wait till sunday

Well total time it took was under 2 hours, honestly there isnt anything that is hard about this at all, just common sense and taking the time to make sure everything you do is right. Only difficult thing was working out which was the PINK wire as there are about 4 under there but not even that takes long, matt will be sneeze will be along with piccys shortly

Comming up on holidays Guys, Got the new Plazmaman setup just about ready to install it and then get it tuned, then will be very keen for a cruise of the sunny coast
