Agree Dude. Just set my car up on E85 and going to try and do weekly jerry can runs to XFT for E85 haha. Going to trial it for a month and see how much coin is involved. As you know bren, XFT gets my vote. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else!

BF Force 6 @ 20

Nice group of cars guys. Needa catch you all on the next cruise!
-
Lack of internet and time, so havn't been checking the forums! No chance of changing back to the old vx ss! Car is currently at XFT for a re-built tailshaft, flex plate and a re-tune + fuel for E85. Can't wait to get it back! With work slowing down hopefully I should see some of you guys on some cruises!

So pissed, got called into work saturday morning and didn't get a chance to even get down to the oval. Drove past omw to work and saw a few cars I've seen from the forums. Absolutly bummed. Need another cruise!

Looks tops mate, love the rims!
-
Thanks for the comments. The rims have really grown on me the last few days so I think I'll keep them on unless I find something that blows me away. Another quick question, what is the best brand / type of oil that should run in these engines. Its coming up for its 5k service in about 900km so figure ill find that out now :D

Thanks for the comments. Speaking of which, has anyone got any suggestions on where to complete a advanced driving course and track day and how much it will cost? Not to fussed on where it is, as long as it near perth
-
Yeah spot on. I'm currently looking at booking in for a advanced driving and track day since its a completely different car, last thing I want to do is wreck someone elses hard effort. The car acts as a daily, which only drives about 30km a day so I take it pretty easy. I've always looked after my cars since its the most expensive asset I have + its a hobby I ended up paying $38 from Lane Ford in Mandurah. Went up to Rockingham to purchase a BF F6 however something didn't feel right about it. On the way back thought I would drop into Lane Ford and see what they had. Just by chance the car had just been traded in my Ashley. Bloody lucky if you ask me!

Prob not mate, work is pretty crazy through the week, that plus I didnt even know about the cruise until you pointed it out lol Thanks for that under-pants. I spoke to Simon and he seemed like a pretty top bloke, was able to supply most of the information over the phone Do you know why he sold the car?
-
Yeah its pretty damm quick, such a different feeling to what I'm used to. Need to find a open where I can actually put my foot down, being 20 I dont have the most driving experence lol. I'll try and get some pics / vids of it this weekend, dying for a cruise lol
-
Thanks all for the comments. I'm sort of 50/50 with selling the rims and looking at someone else. Just need to find the right set I think, they should do for now I still have 5k left over to spend on the car so I was actually looking at getting a sunroof installed installed into it. Quick Question, the car ran 10.8 @ 131MPH on E85 + tune with its old owner. I've been told that to take it down again I would need to install a roll cage? Current its running its 98 tune so I cant see it running the same time, so can I take it to the drags to test it? Really keen to get down at test it out since I have never been lol.

9 :30 sounds good, just need to set my alarm for a early start lol.

Hey all, Recently made the change from a VX SS to a forced 6. Loving the change! Year : 2006 Model : Force 6 Build : 56 Km : 52 XXX Trans : ZF 6 Speed Car had a Stage 2 Nizpro kit with a modified turbo installed at 20,000km by Xtreme Ford Tuning. The auto box was also re-built from what simon was telling me. Currently tuned at 365 rwkw or 400rwkw on a e85 tune ( Going from my conversations with Simon) I'll upload some better images on the weekend. Looking forward to meeting the members on future cruises!
-
True, however I just bought my force 6, so the longer the drive the better! Cockburn sounds good, just set a time and a street and ill be there

droplr.com/Ym4z • IMG_0028.JPG droplr.com/lukM • IMG_0029.JPG droplr.com/Kauh • IMG_0030.JPG Its a complete sleeper. Ego, black leather, pretty much all of the extras except a sunroof I believe. Only done 53k on the clock, however the motor was re-built at 20k. Absolute rocket to drive compared to my stock VX SS! Note: Picture taken in the car yard, Planning on installing the stock lights and different rims

Well by the end of this week I'll be driving build number 58 of the Force 6 range. The owner before had the motor pulled out and re-built and aparantly was pulling around the 400rwkw mark. Still waiting on a dyno sheet but taken it for several test drives and its had no problem smoking the tyres from 80km for a good 30/40 metres Just uploading some pics

Thanks for the reply. The car is just about to hit 26 XXX KM and is black. Really looking forward to test driving it this saturday and hopefully buying, assuming I can get a good trade in etc. So with the limp mode, it only applies if the car is a auto? Awesome stuff. And yeah, really looking forward to going back to a manual!

Hi Guys, Sorry in advance if this is in the wrong section! Assuming all goes well this weekend, I should be the owner of a 2008 BF MK II Typhoon. Before I head up to check the car out I had a few questions: 1. Is there anything that I need to look out for with the BF Typhoons? E.G Known mechanical problems? 2. I've heard that the clutch inside the Typhoon dosn't hold up too well. E.G burning out after 30 XXX KM? 3. I've also read that there is a "limp" mode that the car will go into if a modifcation is made the to engine? If so, to what extent of modifications can be made before it enteres this mode? I assume that the above questions have been answered in previous threads however going through several threads with 10+ pages takes alot of time Looking forward to making the change. I currently own a VX SS (stock) so I assume I'll be happy with the power difference! Thanks all!
