Blueprint and stonechips gives me the sh*ts. The roads suck but I reckon that there must be someone with a bucket of stones that looks for my car and pelts it every time I go past. Heaps of chips all over the dang thing.
Unless you have heaps of time and you can parts at trade price and you have mates in the panel beating business, my advice is to save your money and buy one that is not broken. The cost will always blow out and the price that this car will get at auction will probably be more than you bargained. Good luck!
Thanks all for the birthday wishes!!! What a weekend! Sunday - Father's Day - a great cruise - with a great bunch of guys and gals - a steam train ride - a day off today.... this is as good as it gets. Great to meet you all on Father's Day. I can't wait for the next cruise.
Saturday 8:28pm ...... raining ..... I knew it would as the Slapnut's car was washed with love this afternoon. Oh well, it might still look allright at Sylvania. See you there!!!!
I put on Falken FK451's last Saturday - $370 each. So far, more grip and less road noise than the Falken ZX326's. I bought them because of the review in Ford-Tech. I can't ignore the braking distance. $370 per tyre is not too much money when you can stop this much quicker in an emergency. Slapnut http://www.ford-tech.com/topics.php?topicId=2
I had the shh shh option as well. After five attempts at fixing it, the dealer finally got it right. Now it is at six clicks, it holds and it doesn't make any noise. Keep on your dealer's case. They can fix it.
Bradman Oval at Bowral is a great place for lunch. Take in the Bradman Museum if you like. There is heaps of room for parking and tables for picnics and swings for the tin lids.
My struts seem to be losing their power. I have always had to lift the lid, which is OK IMO, but now if I only lift it half way it does not go up any further like it used to. May be it's the cold weather?
