  1. Faaaaaaarrrrrrkkkkk Yeaaahhhhhhh bet he is stoked aswell
  2. genuine head gaskets are the best, no problems re-using standard headbolts
  3. Was hoping to make it to calder today, instead cutting and digging out our new dyno pit. If someonr could update me how SSG goes and steve in a white fg xr6t that would be greatly appreciated
  4. Can you please explain to me how you have come to this conclusion?
  5. Just had the car up on a hoist and can confirm it is only running the 1 044 pump
  6. we have been using ID1000s for people wanting to upgrade to e85, enough flow for good power on e85 whilst maintaining good idle
  7. Whilst I'm not 100% sure what the standard fuel rail and lines are made of? the sucrogen link/ad shows corrosion on the two test samples which are CARBON steel. also in terms of reliability etc (although not an xr6 turbo) the Nizpro XR5 turbo hasn't seen a drop of 98 in the last 2.5 years and has been run on e85 with no problems whatsoever
  8. I think the exact opposite after having pulled down a couple of motors that have been running on e85
  9. a drill ......... you can drill out the factory reg to allow it to flow more at idle
  10. yep on e85 stock rail is fine and you can either modify the stock reg or wire the fuel pumps up so only one is on at idle and then both on boost
  11. hmmm come to think of it I can't actually remember wether that car had 1 or 2 044 on process west surge tank edit: but we have had several cars make over 400rwkw with a single 044
  12. we have run up to 457rwkw out of a gtx3582r with a single 044 and id1000s
  13. no, one 044 will be adequate but I would recommend upgrading injectors to ID1000s
  14. 044 pump and id1000 injectors would be ideal
  15. At Nizpro we test every batch of e85 when we tune cars on it, have never seen united e85 drop below 85% and is normally up around 87-88%
  16. Pretty much as soon as you hit rev limiter they fall off, go an aftermarket option and keep it off the rev limiter and you should be fine
  17. No, as mentioned previously the 2 leading manufacturers leading kits for xr6 turbos (fg) were tested, one company tested uses bar&plate the other tube and fin
  18. bar and plate, only plazmaman and pwr make tube and fin cores for our xr6t's
  19. IAT temps are easy to measure through the obd2 port but pressure drop across an intercooler system is also very important. measuring across the entire system is easy by putting a boost gauge on the compressor cover of the turbo and another at the manifold giving you the pressure drop of the whole system. Cooler, piping etc to measure just the intercooler core itself you have to get out the drill and tap in some fittings to do the same procedure above in either end tank. Just something to bare in mind that is often overlooked when people talk about intercooler selection
  20. 1) it's done by Nizpro - that's true and I have no doubt that people will think it is biased but I haven't seen any other manufacturers post up testing results... Maybe ask them for there results (if they have any) and compare for yourself 2) we don't know what they are comparing it to. Are they comparing it to a Monza and a Capa or an 1800hp Plazmaman and a 2.2 Process West? - There are only 2 other LEADING manufacturers of intercoolers in the xr6 turbo market and the cream of the crop were picked to test against So how many 8 second xr6t's does Nizpro have? None, we have a customer in the 9's and have three cars capable of cracking a 9, Simon from XFT in perth is pushing over 800 rwkw through the same cooler that every other customer buys off the shelf with testing : http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=268595799889987&set=a.141052195977682.36817.139641019452133&type=1&theater Along with many fast and powerful street cars :-)
  21. just to clarify f6gforce has a high flow cat, process west surge tank and nizpro injectors tuned on e85 has made a best of 364 rwkw defiantly the best bang for buck car we have seen A fg xr6 turbo with nizpro injectors tuned on e85 we have seen just over 300rwkw
  22. garrett, putting a bigger compressor wheel onto the standard core isn't a good idea in my opinion (and from what I've seen) just makes them laggy. either go with a GTX3582r or recore the standard turbo and fit a .7 front cover
  23. To try and prevent the input shafts breaking, its very easy for people to play with the zf trans file and get the gear overlap wrong which = snapped input shaft Input shaft at a minimum is what we recommend
  24. dont tune "standard" boxes
