  1. looks awesome mate, cant wait to see it with the mods
  2. so camrys and hyandai are the new drift toys lol. seems more like a dumbsh*t behind the wheel than drifting.
  3. hey all, recently I purchased a fg xrt ute and am wanting to do a few mods but need a little help to know what I can and can't do to it while still keeping the warranty valid. this is what I would like to do; * lower it * wheels * flash tune and maybe custom tune as well to make sure all is well * exhaust (just something to make it purr a little) * blow off valve, want some pssshhhhhhh noise. im getting bored lol. so that's pretty much all I would want to do, I briefly asked one of the sales guys at a ford dealer and he said I would only be aloud to get some wheels and that's it. otherwise no more warranty :( what can I do any help appreciated. thanks fellas.

that's really sh*t to hear that your ute was used like that, I dont know if I could leave mine anywhere without actually being there. E10 goes in the new turbos but maybe there made for it? they still recommend 98 for best power and economy.
  5. hahaha thanks mate yeah im loving it. im starting to feel the same way about it too, I was meant to go out and buy some laundry powder last night and I came home 3 hours later.
  6. will installing one of these void the warranty? also when someone gets a video of theirs please upload here or youtube. I really wanna hear what they go like I know people say there loud etc. but would be nice to hear first.
  7. yeah I saw a ba/bf on youtube. just search for xr6 launch control and you will come across it, the guy has also set it up for flat shifting which looks pretty cool :D wish I could do that. I was out testing the launching tonight and its pretty good. I just don't think I can do it properly yet because the rear keeps getting sideways when taking off and im not sure that's how it goes. ill keep practicing.
  8. thanks for the comments guys. nah mate, I didnt get the lux pack. just standard pack with leather seats and tech pack. almost like the luxury pack though but was an extra 5k approx. only thing I forgot to get were the dam floor mats lol.
  9. thanks senna_T, ill give it a good sussing out when I go out next.
  10. heres my baby, pretty fun to drive and ive only got 1 point on licence for 10 more months. not sure how long I will last :( can any mods be done without fking up the warranty? I want to maybe lower but defiantly new rims are on the cards. just want to try and keep the warranty but still have a mod or 2. what are some things you guys have done with your turbos? cheers
  11. oh ok, nice then. I was thinking it might be something like that but last night out on my adventures I tried sitting in 1st with clutch in and it went way over the 3500, just like normal revving. does dsc have to be on, maybe I didnt have it on.
  12. hey fellas, once again top site. just got my turbo ute yesterday (friday) and im in love with it. its black manual with tech pack and leathers. normally takes me a while to get onboard when a new model comes out but im really starting to like the fg all round. it was a toss up between this or a bf nado. pretty happy I chose the newer one even though its no fpv but fark me ded its great. this is my first turbo and first manual. I will defiantly be posting some pics up today, only got it friday arvo and had to go straight to work and only just got home from a drive now 3am lol. so pics will be up when the suns out. cheers!
  13. I asked a question in another thread about launch control being on utes and someone said yes. I got my new ute friday and im pretty sure its not equipped with it. it has dsc though?? anyone with a T ute care to elaborate on this?
  14. thanks mate, bloke at work was telling me lies lol
  15. hey guys just a quick question for the manual turbo utes. is it true that only the manual sedans come with the launch control? I want a manual turbo ute but wouldn't mind having the launch control feature I rekon it could be some fun.
  16. hey guys, Nice little audio section here. Just a couple of questions about the ford icc and audio, I know a lot of people do the premium sound upgrade and a few with adding an external head unit to the car but has anyone installed a signal processor? Just to make sure you know what im on about ill add a couple of links from a couple different site so you know what im getting at. Basically it kind of looks like an amp and hooks up to the OEM audio system and gives you great sound (so they say). If anyone on here has installed one of these are they worth it, seems like less of a hassle to install these instead of spending $1000+ on all the other equipment like new icc, headunit, amps etc. just to get better sound. links: http://www.alpine.com.au/products/product.asp?modelID=305 http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/pr...es.asp?cat_id=1 cheers.
  17. Hey mate, just call up one of the agencies around town and you'll surely get a job within a couple of weeks if not a few days even. Integrated, ready workforce, workforce solutions just a few examples. They may have crappy jobs most of the time but if its only for a couple of months who cares hey, as long as its paying the bills.
  18. just a quick update, ive been going hard on testing everything turbo. cant say im over-ly impressed with the fg turbo ute (there pretty awesome) but probly cause it was auto but I drove a manual turbo and just seem to pull alot harder through gears. dont get me wrong they new ones are pretty good but for the same price im hunting down for a bf tornado, found a couple and getting them sorted out now. F*&K me dead though the new f6 auto & manual HAMMER!!! I couldnt get approved on one though because of being a first loan and all but they said they will get a new xr6t ute (pushing me to actually). oh well hopefully in a couple of weeks I will be in a bf tornado... wish me luck!!:D:D
  19. my dream ute too thanks for replies guys although the fg are nice I think I might go a bf either xr6t ute or tornado (depending how much $$ I can gather up). bf's looks so much tougher than the new ones for some reason, I think its the front end that makes it like that. cheers.
  20. whats up everyone im really loving the site. plenty know how on here. but im just a little bit stuck in a pickle. its time to get a new ute so first thing comes to mind was a ba turbo ute. so for the last few weeks I've been doing more and more research on then and comparing models engines etc.. so by now I know im getting a ford turbo ute but dont know which one. after taking a couple f6 tornados out they go very hard and with the prices going down on the old models seems like a good time to get into a FPV ute. an then I began looking into the FG x6T ute havent drive one yet though but that will be done next. im just starting to get used to the front of them. I love the whole fg fpv range they just got it perfect 1st go. now its the xr's I need getting used to for me. I just need to see a few more on the roads I think. so I have picked a few to choose from and would like some comments with my choise and good points and bad points of vehicles. 1. ba/f xr6t ute manual (this ones kinda outta the question by now) 2. bf f6 ute manual. 3. fg xr6t ute man
