how many from cq goin to powercuise. im still undecided as to whether im goin or not yet. what date is it anyway. I am thinkin if I go il go down thurs have fri sat there and drive home sun. il prob neeed a trailer to get my car home if I go anyway.
yeah I realise that but I dont want to go to a full slick with front runners and stuff until I get an auto and 9 inch. car is now my daily driver so I cant really afford to wreck anything. I just think a semi slick is goin to put up more of a fight than the year old maxxis things I got on there now. also my brother is takin his torana down and it has slicks and front runners and I dont want him beating me otherwise il never live it down.
just after some opinons on semi slick tires. taking the ute to the strip this month and dont think my year old tires are goin to be up to the task. can anyone recomend a good semi slick tire that with fit on 17s. dont want to go to a full slick just yet as my box and diff may not hold up.
cheers mate. gunna leave the ute the way it is for the moment. just tidy a few things up and finish a few things off. goin to the strip in a couple of weeks to see what she will run. I think I am gunna get some semi slick tires for the back just gotta find out what I can get. I was gunna run the tires that are on it but judging by the way the dont hook up on the street I think it would be a waste off time.
standard driveline with an npc twin plate solid centre clutch. I have been fairly easy on it so far but I do think it is time to change the diff oil and g/box oil.
30 psi. whether that is on E85 or race fuel we have not decided yet. injectors are at there limit now so have to get some different ones. what are injectors you running tray
yeah I think you were gone but we backed up the 696 from thurs night. if we had of had thurs night temps it would have a gone over 700 I reckon. still can not complain at all about 696 rwhp on pump fuel. good to meet you guys too yous all seem like a top bunch of blokes.
yep 696 again anchor. it was a fair bit warmer though but we had a bit more boost in it. a little disappointed we didnt crack 700 but we still have a lot left in it. E85 tune still to come and I think we should see the magic 800.
its a manual. its also now my daily driver cause the hilux goes to a better home today ha ha. engine was built by mopower race enigines here in gladstone and has cp pistons howard rods atomic oil pump valve springs and girdle. goes to show you dont have to drive to brisbane or mackay to have a tuf xr6 turbo.
just been to the benaraby dyno comp as part of motor mania here in c.q. turbo ute made 696 rwhp on pump fuel. will have to get someone from prodyno in rocky who ran the comp to maybe post the graph up. only have a copy of it here. fuel was 98 pulp straight from the bowser with no additives. temp was about 10deg. had 17 pound spring in the wastegate. pretty stoked at the moment.
had ute on the dyno today, made 550 rwhp at 16 pound. pretty happy with that, hopefully get a bit more out of it tomorrow. this was on straight 98 pump fuel.
