hey Mat, yeh I have seen the same ute when I was in launnie a couple of weekends ago. My utes black and debadged, 19 xhp jet chrome, if anyone sees me give me a wave. my old xr6t is grey with a monza fmic in it. that was standard though!

hey just a question when you hooked the battery back up and started it did the alarm go off while the engine was running? mine did! but havent had any problems since!

go an optima, good batteries, pay a bit for them however a mate has a fishing boat he fitted two to, many years ago and they turn 300hp outboards over every time and have never needed charging.

hey I have 03 xr6t ute, 6spd and 4.1's, I decided on 4.1's as im mainly around town, I'd certainly go 3.9's if you want to drag!!

my ba xr6t with 6spd and 4.1 diff did 560km to a tank with my race boat on not long ago its on setting one with the capa, not sure what specs it puts out, but very happy with fuel consumption!

yeh its a hard one.. yeh well spetember- october is an iffy month down here can be a bit wet.. like today.. and can be hot.. we have our annual show on the 23rd of october.. farmers always say " its show time, bit of rain about" so maybe a bit later might be better? would rather u guys have some nice weather then not!! the "shoulder" season on the boat is also from 14 sept- 13dec so even november might be good!!??

hey im keen as to come along, already in tas though! id suggest coming over night.. the day sails are boring .. night sailing= drinking a sleep and then a full day to do something!

Hey, I finally have my ute back on the road, the Mal Wood Auto, T56 is awesome, only thing I have noticed is taking off it appears the diff ratio may need changing. am I correct in thinking my ba that came with a T5 from factory has a 3.45 diff ratio? and the xr6t's that came with the T56 from factory have a 3.7? thanks

Hey guys, im putting a T56 into my ute tonight, from what I have read the reverse lock out is easiest wired into the brake light switch, is there any wiring diagrams on here so I know which wire to use? thanks

hey, I have a spec clutch aswell fitted it the first week I got the ute.. my T5 blew up about 2 months ago, all going well I'll be putting my T56 in on saturday, only thing I found with spec clutch was it is a little heavier and it seems to come along way out.. is anyone able to tell me how to work the crush thing out.. I have the plates that came with the clutch, two were put in with the T5, and I have been told all 3 go in with the T56 is this right? thanks

Im in tassie, however wouldnt take mine there, only on experiences mates have had. I'll be taking mine to melb sometime next year after I add a few goodies.

ive blown mine up only 2 weeks ago, I had replaced the clutch with a spec stage 3 only about a month before hand as that was slipping! mine has 280rwkw

haha it probably does hate me, so far its got a new spec clutch, and 2 weeks ago the gearbag blew up so maybe this is payback

the utes unlocked and unarmed, soon as negative terminal is removing the alarm goes off its head. what I did was clicked unlocked, waited 2 seconds then started undoing negative terminal soon as that's removed off it goes!

hey guys, I was actually looking at removing the battery to clean the boost actuator, however soon as I undo the negative terminal the alarm goes off the siren is next the the brake booster, I didnt think these would have a battery back up stand alone type siren so I tightened the terminal back up, started the ute and it was still going off whilst I had the engine running is there something im missing here?

haha well once I have the gearbox sorted, it'll be exhaust, plazmaman kit, and a couple of other things and then ill be happy!!

Hey, I have 03 ba xr6t ute, however it needs new front pads, however this one has discs with a swirl in it aswell as the calipers have ford written on them aswell as pbr, and they are a blackie colour. has this had an upgrade? as my over xr6t ute had silvery coloured calipers? cheers
