  1. Had mine installed by a Mobile Phone Installer, and he was able to provide a specific bracket for the phone holder that clips in between the dashboard and centre console. Even matches the original Ford colouring. This means that you can remove the bracket at a later date and not leave any holes. If you want to, I can take a picture and post it.
  2. That is a big leap there plonky. Just because someone doesn't agree with some else's values doesn't make them racist - Pretty much covers it....I find it disturbing that an Officer of the Law hands the "racist" tag out so quickly. This term is often incorrectly used to stifle further debate.
  3. Recommend using "ImToo DVD Audio Ripper". automatically extracts all the chapters as individual tracks....and gives the option to select which chapters are extracted. The only negative with this program is that when ripping a "live" performance, the introduction of the next song is often captured at the end of the previous song. This is probably how they are presented within the DVD chapters. Solution is to do a little "cut & paste" editing in whatever audio software you normally use.
  4. Ever experimented with drugs Gaza? Know anyone that has? I suggest you report them to the authorities for suspected drug related activities. No Yes An unfounded conclusion....as opposed to "an element of doubt"
  5. Not sure if you are referring to my comments from above....but if you are, read them again. I said... "2). She made the admission that she has "experimented" with drugs before. While neither of these points makes her guilty.....it does raise some doubt as to her innocence." Therefore, you have selective reading....or you have misquoted somebody else. Either way, an apology may be appropriate.
  6. As far as I'm aware she experimented back in school. She is what 28 now? I was a pothead and an alcoholic throughout year 11&12, If I actually went to school I was stoned or drunk of my nut. I smoked an average of $20 a day. That is hardly experiemental, that is a full blown pot abuse. Now I haven't touched the crap in 6 years. I'm 24 and if I was in her position would you say that you are doubtful because of what I did when I was a kid? I'm sure half the country has "experimented" drugs as kids, does it make you doubt half the country? .....half the country ???? Big call Cro.
  7. I've always assumed she was not guilty based on the information "fed to us via the media". However, after watching last night's show, 2 things caught my attention : 1). The question has always been raised as to why anyone would take the drug to Bali when it would be cheaper to source it there. Turns out that the quality of the drug is not the same. 2). She made the admission that she has "experimented" with drugs before. While neither of these points makes her guilty.....it does raise some doubt as to her innocence.
  8. When do we get to eat him
  9. I realise that not all Novated Leases are the same, but here's how mine works. 1). You choose a car. 2). You tell the Lease company which type of car, how long you want to run the lease and how many Km's you will travel per year. 3). The Lease company works out annual costs which will include Finance Repayments, petrol costs, maintenance costs, insurance, rego, tyres and FBT....based on your annual Km's. There may also be a residual ( final payment ) at the end of the Lease. 4). Once you have the total annual costs, you then determine how much of this is covered by your employer. For example, let's say the annual cost is $20,000....and your employer is paying a vehicle allowance of $16,000. 5). You now have an annual personal contribution of $4,000. This is where you can calculate the Tax Benefit. The $4,000 comes out of your "pre-tax" earnings. Therefore, the full $4,000 goes towards the vehicle. If you weren't on a Novated Lease and took this money as normal earnings, you would only get the "after-tax" dollars.....and maybe miss out on just under $2,000 that would instead go to the taxman. Pros : If you were already planning on getting a new vehicle for yourself, this is one way of allowing some of your "tax $$$" to help out. Cons : If you do a lot of Km's each year, by the time you purchase the vehicle at the end of the Lease....resale value will be low.
  10. Actually a sh*tload easier to get it going off in a manual. My record is 34 consecutive sneezes. 1 per upshift. Only you could manage that!! Only HE would want to !!

....and I promise to add absolutely nothing of any benefit to you during all posts. Welcome.
  12. I was fortunate enough to get a transcription of the speech made before the match by the NZ coach to the players. Interesting reading. One man boys….that’s all it takes. A leader…..someone for the team to follow…..doesn’t even have to be the captain. Boys, I want a man with passion….a man who looks like he wants to fight. You be that man out front, and I promise you….the team will follow. We have to hold our line as one……slide together. Complete all our sets…..give it everything you have and leave nothing behind. Keep your legs pumping even when they hurt…..slap them, should they fail you. Always move forward boys….never a backward step. They say Kiwis can’t fly, but at the end of this…..you can all jump for the stars like no-one has before you. The papers tomorrow may choose to focus on too many cocked elbows….too many clenched fists. The ref may even complain of too much lip…...too much tongue wagging from all of you. But boys…..this is a Test Match….this is for your Country. You get out there….and you do what is expected of you. Ok boys….that about covers the Haka. As for the footy game….chuck the ball about and see what happens.
  13. Dagabond....I've had my say...you've had yours
  14. Two possibilities. Firstly, the power regulator that suppiles power to your DVD from the socket, might not have sufficient filtering to remove the engine noise. You could add a filter or buy a better power supply. or, secondly, you may be creating what is know as a 'hum loop' where the player is earthed (to the car grounding), in two ways, via the power supply, and via the signal cable to the aux in. For this last situation, disconnecting the shielding of the signal cable at one end may fix it. (there are three conductors in this cable, a wire for each of left and right channel, and a common return - usually via the braided shielding in the cable) If the player is earthed via the power supply, then the shield only needs to be connected at one end - connecting it at both creates the 'loop' which will pick up any stray electromagnetic interference) Thanks exar....but I am confused. If I remove the "earth" from one end of the "dvd player to aux input" cable....won't I effectively lose the "2nd leg" of each channel ? ( ie. The "aux input" will get "a-leg" of left channel and "a-leg" of right channel....but will be missing the "b-leg" of both ).
  15. Again, I dispute that this article makes generalisations. It refers to 3 unhappy owners by name, and refers to comments by 1 Turbo Forum user. It mentions that of 10,232 cars that could be affected....2% have complained. Any generalisations / conclusions made from this are at the whim of the reader....don't balme the media. I read the article....but it hasn't kept me awake at night.
  16. Dagabond, Mick I'm not sure what you are getting at. While you may have noted that there "was no offence intended for those having issues"....your comment suggests that we are now "nationally known as whingers.....and we all drive lemons". What do you base this on ? What would you have the people do that have had problems ? Is it wrong for them to raise their concerns ? I also believe that you have unfairly presumed to know what the perception of others will be. Let me state up front that I am happy with my Turbo and am not aware of any problems. But I also recognise that others may have legitimate issues that may need to be resolved by Ford. I do not believe them to be whingers....and I do not presume that the general public will think them to be whingers either. My opinion may be wrong....but it's just as possible, yours could be too.
  17. Would suggest that there is some relationship with how the "external unit" is powered. For example, I can plug my hand-held UHF radio (battery powered) into the AUX input so that the speaker comes through the car system....and perfectly clear. However, if I plug my portable DVD player (powered from car lighter socket) into the AUX input....interference results. Therefore, the Ford supplied AUX cable must be ok....but the interference between engine whine and power source needs to be somehow eliminated.
  18. Here's the article.
  19. Hang on boys....working on it now.
  20. Hmmm...perhaps you are referring to Monday 25th Anzac Day ?
  21. Damn right Channel 9....it's UNAUSTRALIAN !!!
  22. ....and as if coppin' it from the forum ain't bad enough.....another loss in the god damn footy !!!
  23. Many many years ago....had to have a stint on an oil rig and after several boring weekends, asked the bossman what they did to pass the time away. He replied.... "For $150, you can have your way with the cook" I thought about it and said.... "$150 seems a bit steep....why so much ?" He replied... "well there's $50 for the Rig Supervisor to turn a blind eye...cause he doesn't like that sort of thing. There's $50 for the shift supervisor to turn a blind eye....cause he doesn't like that sort of thing. And then there's $50 for Mungo over there to hold the cook down.....cause he don't like that sort of thing either".
  24. Sorry 4runner....after careful consideration, these cannot be adopted as official "jabs" at other colours.
  25. KEN !!!! Could this be true ??? One of the cousins has a "brown" undercoat ???? What the hell is going on at Ford ?
