  1. Picked mine up in early November. 34 km on the clock which had me wondering until now. It would seem that there has been a lot worse. Honest Gaza
  2. Well lads ( big assumption there ), it's good to know that I haven't been kicked out of the fraternity for taking it too slow. I am particularly worried that if I give it too much curry, my lamingtons might fall off my lap. XR6T4ME...I will probably continue to take it relatively easy for the first 1500km as suggested in the driver's manual ( that should bring out some groans ). That doesn't mean I won't have the occasional epiliptic fit which may inadvertently cause my right leg to go completely stiff. I didn't really get too depressed until the semi-trailer overtook me.....uphill Has anyone else noticed that the elbow indents that usually come stock standard on the steering wheel are missing on this model. Makes eating the hamburger really tricky while driving  Honest Gaza
  3. Have had the car for 4 days and took it for a run up the F3 on Sunday. Thought I would do the right thing and cruise at varying speeds while the engine breaks in. On one particular stretch of road while sitting on 90km as per the speed limit, my 11 yr old was dismayed to see the number of cars that were passing us. The conversation went something like this : "Dad...why is everyone passing us ?" "I'm just sitting on the speed limit son" "But Dad, that old couple just passed us" "They are being naughty son" "Now that sh*tbox with the little exhaust just passed us" "It's called not suffering from peer pressure son" "No Dad....it's called KICKING YOUR ARSE !!!" Maybe I am not worthy after all. :( Honest Gaza
  4. ktford In response to your many questions. My wife and my friends call me Miss Daisy, so I figured if I get this Turbo thingy, I should be able to get from 0 to 60 in a shorter time. As for my cardi....it keeps me warm while my flanno jamas are in the wash. Had my wife drop me off at the dealer's this morning to pick up the beast. As we left the dealer in separate cars, she had the audacity to overtake me in our Falcon AUII Futura. I don't know what came over me but it was like a red rag in front of a bull. I planted the foot and I guess you know the rest. ( The Doc says the neck brace can come off in about a week ). When we got home the wife was all excited about this sudden change that had come over "Miss Daisy". Let's just say that she will be walking differently for a while. B) I must admit...I am really impressed with the throaty sound of the engine. I have to take a nap now, so until next time. Honest Gaza
  5. Checked with the dealer today...all is in readiness for Friday. I will have to go to Lowes to buy a new cardi for the occasion. Not sure if I want to take up lawn bowls just yet. I didn't go for the leather seats as it might clash with my undies. Went the Plexis Red....hope it looks as good as the photos posted to me via this site last month. Not sure what this Turbo thingy is all about but I hope the switch is easily located....and if I don't leave an imprint of my backside in the seat then I will be disappointed. Any suggestions how many k's to do before flicking the switch ??? Team HgAg....here I come. Honest Gaza
  6. Vg & Plonky. You're copping ( forgive the pun ) a bit on this forum for the actions of others. I would like to take this to another tangent. In the Movie Kindergarten Cop, ( after Arnie belted the child beating father ), the little old lady asked him..."How did it feel ?" So tell me....when you see an absolute dickhead weaving in and out of traffic, no blinkers, no thought for others, usually engaged on a mobile phone at the same time....it must feel good that you have the power to pull the son of a b**ch over and give him what for. I know there are many times that I wish I had the power to do just that. I consider myself a fairly safe driver and the odds are that one day I will get caught for speeding without realising it at the time. I just hope that if it ever happens....you catch at least 5 of the above mentioned idiots, for every one of me. Honest Gaza PS. Hey VG...if you look anything like your accompanying mugshot on this forum...don't be surprised if I take off in one hell of a hurry.
  7. Sedan....so you are safe
  8. Once again.....baaaaaaaaaaa Maybe the driver does not participate on this forum.
  9. the buzzer would be going.....baaaaaaaaaaaa Incorrect. Suburb is neither of these.
  10. You with the Lime Splice Turbo in a NSW Suburb with the initials CH. Beware....there is soon to be an HgAg Turbo coming. Identify yourself :banghead:
  11. Hi alxr6t, Checked the build date while I was there...September. This falls within the 3 month build period as stipulated by the Fleet Company. Honest Gaza
  12. As mentioned on a previous post, I had ordered an HgAg Turbo with Plexis Red Interior for a delivery date of early Nov. This order was placed in August because of the expected delay. I was amazed when the dealer rang me in mid-September and said "Your car is here" I went and viewed the car and found that the interior was Plexis Grey instead of Plexis Red. After many phone calls to the dealer and Fleet Company, the dealer said "No problem, we will re-order in the correct colour". They also assured me that the delivery date of early November was still achievable. I had reason to visit the dealer today to provide a copy of my licence for Rego purposes and I asked about the delivery date. Again they were extremely confident in the early November delivery date. I then asked when is it likely to turn up at the dealership and after a bit of prodding they advised "It is already here". Apparently this one was sourced from Queensland, and brought down to Sydney, NSW. What mystifies me even more is that the original HgAg in Plexis Grey is still sitting in the middle of the sales yard waiting for a buyer. So I ask the question....is there a waiting list or not ??? Anyone who wants an HgAg with Plexis Grey interior and Premium sound package ( without having to wait ), should get their dealer to contact Peter Warren at Warwick Farm, Sydney. It was there last time I looked. Honest Gaza
  13. My Turbo doesn't arrive until November, so when I jumped in my mate's XR6 yesterday ( after reading this post ), I activated the feature while he wasn't looking. You should have seen him crap his pants when the display suddenly went dead. I let him stew for a while before I came clean. A mean trick to play....serves him right for not ordering the Turbo. Honest Gaza
  14. I am also confused as to the "waiting period" for the Turbo. Mine was ordered through a well known Fleet management Company ( who are absolutely pissing me off, and all my workmates, with their miserable service ). Although I sourced the "deal" myself, the order must still go through "them". The order was placed mid August for an early November delivery when my current Lease vehicle expires. Imagine my surprise when the dealer rang me last week and said "It's here, can you pick it up ?" I explained to the dealer, that I was unable to take delivery until Novemeber and they said they will hold it for me. ( I had my suspicions at the time that this was not my vehicle, but maybe a cancelled order ). I had to have my current car serviced on Friday, so while I was there, I had a quick squizzy at the TURBO. Wrong trim colour inside....like I said, maybe someone else's cancelled order ??? I explained to the dealer that it was the wrong trim colour and that I would contact "them" ( the well known Fleet Management Company ), and find out where I go from here. It seems that "they" ( the well known Fleet Management Company ), did not pass on my request for the trim colour when they ordered it through the dealer. Just when I though that I was in for one hell of a fight, the dealer rang me and said " No problem, we will re-order your vehicle, in the correct trim colour, and it should still be available for early November" ( More proof that this was maybe a cancelled order ??? Things that make you go hmmmmmm. Honest Gaza
  15. Falchoon....you are the man !!! Firstly, can I say that you guys had me guessing for quite some time with the reference to "HgAg". It's been some time since my last Science class. I'm not as worried now that I have seen your photos Falchoon. If every piece of trim was in plexis red it might be overpowering, but your photos seem to show a sense of restraint from Ford. If the plexis red trim doesn't make the car go faster, I guess I will have to take the Turbo out of the boot and plug it in. Thanks for all of the comments. Honest Gaza
  16. Hi folks, Does anyone have an XR6 Turbo with Plexis Red Trim ???. I have one on order for November delivery and the dealer rang me last week to say it was here. Scared the crap out of me as it was only ordered in August. I suspect it was someone else's car that later cancelled their order. It seemed to be ok except for the fact the the trim was Plexis Grey. I found the grey very boring. The car is Mercury Silver. The delaer is going to reorder in Plexis Red.....they assumed that I would want Plexis Grey as most customers find the red a bit "ghastly". Have I made a mistake ???? Honest Gaza
