Don't see the point in that game. Whack the ball and then go and chase it. Most other sports involve hitting / kicking a moving ball. As far as I'm concerned....If it ain't moving, leave it alone. Honest Gaza
  2. Am I missing something here..... sounds like two completely opposite answers here Honest Gaza
  3. Trumpy....is it possible to set up a private messaging area where we can leave our Mobile numbers (and note down other people's mobile numbers ), so that we have some contact points if anything should happen on the day....or get delayed on arrival. Honest Gaza
  4. Thanks Cro......I know the location of the shopping centre....just not where we meet. I take it from this we meet at the Woolworths carpark ??? Honest Gaza
  5. Trumpy.....for those "virgins" amongst us, where might this be ? Honest Gaza
  6. What are you saying...a man needs to have an education ? Why the hell would I want to study that hard ? Don't want a Batchelor of anything....don't even want to be a batchelor. Honest Gaza
  7. C'mon Andrew....one should never neglect the "map of tassie" Honest Gaza
  8. Trumpy, please add me to the confirmed list. 2 Adults + 2 Children. Received a discount at the Alpine Gables as I advised them that the wife is trained in the art of dish washing. I have never met the man....but is it true that Ken's "other" car is a phone booth ??? Honest Gaza

  10. Need advice please....want to install one of those satelite aerials in place of the original Ford aerial. (Seems to be a lot of the older cars running around with them). I have shaped the coathanger into standard diamond shape and I have dug a hole above driver's side wheel but can't locate the antenna cable from radio. This would allow completion of Mod 9 and only leave one more to go. Honest Gaza
  11. Haven't had much luck with dogs. Had a Maltese Terrier that kept getting in the way while we were having a swimming pool built. Ran out of mesh half-way through the job so I spread-eagled the mutt to complete the job. He moved out of position while the concrete was being poured so now we use him to wipe our feet on before hopping in the pool. As for training one that will nod it's head continually....just seems like too much effort. Honest Gaza
  12. Yeh, I remember the first time I heard that one I kicked the bottom out of my cot. Honest Gaza
  13. Andrew, I am offended that you think I do not care about the ladies. I must point out heavy use of the 2 handles located towards the ceiling above the rear seat. I was advised on good authority, and passed this info on to my wife accordingly, that these are for the ladies to place their feet in so they don't get tired. Honest Gaza
  14. Honest Gaza - Huh ? 5$ extra per tank per week = $250 and not $2500. And that will be from your pre-tax earnings so it'll actually be $125 more per year. Yeec > What can I say...I'm an idiot. How the hell I got that answer, I'm stuffed if I know. You are correct in pointing out that this cost is negligible. Even I'm not that much of a cheapskate. I always considered maths was my strong point. Honest Gaza
  15. Yeec > not sure how your lease works but mine allows for an allowance provided by employer, and anything above that is from your pre-tax earnings. Therefore, any changes in fuel costs will definitely be reflected in the annual budget. At approx $5 a tank difference, and based on a minimum of 1 tank of fuel a week....that's a total difference of approx $2500 per year. That's money that could be spent on additional mods to the car. By the way to those who are keenly observing my list...I have thought about having my car lowered, but am not sure of the most accurate way to take the air out of the tyres. Honest Gaza
  16. I can confirm this! Honest Gaza, you should open up a performance shop! Esky > think I'd rather open a coffee shop. There would only be two things you can get...cappucinos and toasted ham & cheese sandwiches. Don't get me wrong...you could order whatever you like...but you would only get cappucinos and toasted ham & cheese sanwiches. One mod I would like to attempt, ( but just don't have much faith in my own ability ), is to gouge a couple of notches in the steering wheel. When eating hamburgers, there is a tendancy for my elbows to slip off the wheel when turning corners. Honest Gaza
  17. Cheif...again I can only point out what the Ford manual says..."calibrated to run on 91 RON or 95 RON)" I do like your train of thought though as far as number games go. Although, I imagine you don't win lotto very often using these numbers. You need to diversify a little
  18. Man the fuel thing is abit of a worry, do you hate your car? OK boys...I hope this doesn't take a nasty turn and start getting too serious. But it seems that whenever I make reference to using standard ULP as opposed to PULP, the hairs on the back of people's necks start sticking up and they get all excited. :banghead: Let me say up front, I am not a mechanic, I know little about cars (although this may surprise you considering the mods I have already performed), and there may be good reason to use PULP. However....I must draw your attention to P32 of the "Customer Assistance, Warranty and Service Guide". Note 1 at the bottom of the page states... "XR6 Turbo is calibrated to run on ULP and PULP" In the approx 3 months I have had the vehicle, and driven the congested streets of Sydney, I used PULP for the first 7000km and consistently got 12.x Litres/100km. I then switched to ULP as an experiment for another 2000km and again consistently got 12.x Litres/100km. While I can't vouch for the "performance differences" during this time, (the car goes very fast on either),...my fuel consumption remained the same. At approx 10c/litre difference, this is a huge cost difference over a 4Year lease based on approx 35,000km / year. To those who say what is 10c/litre when you have paid in excess of $45,000 for a car...well that depends on whether it is additional money well spent. Ford apparently don't think it is necessary or they would refuse to mention it in the Warranty conditions. Anyway, I am currently using PULP again, and have yet to make up my mind which way to go long term. In final closing...there is a sh*tload of cars out there all using ULP and I assume that these engines aren't going to suddenly fall to bits because the drivers refused to use PULP. My limited understanding of the basic XR6 Turbo engine is that it is nothing amazing and that it is this Turbo thingy that gives it some zip. ( I did say I have limited understanding ) Please....if I am wrong, and there is damn good reason to use PULP, then feel free to b**ch-slap me. Honest Gaza
  19. Firstly, I am relieved to know that others have been giving the same thought as I have to modify the Turbo on the cheap. Chief > Window down option won't work as it will effect the centre of gravity on the vehicle. It may also result in additional pressure on the tyres now that more weight is at the bottom. CnC > Fluffy Dice confused me too much. Unfortunately, I could only buy them as a pair and there were no instructions as to which one goes to the left of the mirror, and which one to the right. NTTurbo > Not sure what this smelly tree thing is but my guess is that there are a lot of people who would like to party with you. Mondie > Can you get different size attitudes ??? KTFord > I tried the scratching on the mag wheels but my angle grinder blew a fuse while I was on the 2nd wheel. Do you know if a sledgehammer will suffice ? AMoffat > This Ducati sticker thing....is it as powerful as the Hazard Lights on a taxi which give total rights to park anywhere, anyhow and anytime ??? Thanks for all of the help up until now. Honest Gaza
  20. . Installed Baby seat Don't know if I can try some of the others...if I try the white paint on the letters, will it effect the wheel balancing if I go outside the lines ??? Scared to try the Towbar as I am concerned that the extra weight will cause front of car to lift up off the road. Honest Gaza
  21. So I have just finished reading some argument between some APS & CNC guys on a thread somewhere around here....and I have no bloody idea what they are talking about. :( Accordingly, I thought I would nominate the top 10 mods I have had done to my XR6-T, and see if others have done the same or not : 1) Driver's side weather shield 2) Genuine XR6 floor mats 3) Baby chuck on the back of front passenger seat 4) Fixed E-Tag to front windscreen 5) Passenger's side weather shield for aerodynamics (see 1.) 6) Air in the tyres 7) Regular Unleaded fuel for approx 2000kms in place of Premium (let's see some of the serious revheads try that one) Sorry boys, haven't made it to 10....I'm just too conservative. But if anyone needs help in performing the above mods, only too willing to offer advice. Honest Gaza
  22. ....but also embarrasing when you spring an oil leak
  23. Attention all....if we are serious, there's an "I Wish" icon on this website that you can select and nominate a model that you would like to see in production. Push it...nominate XR6-Turbo (in HgAg of course)....start wishing !!!! Honest Gaza

Cripes....not from Tasmania are you ??? Gives a new meaning to "roll your own"
  25. Andrew.....now you have confused me even more. Are you suggesting that it actually matters what the girl thinks ??? Honest Gaza
