Hi folks,

Does anyone have an XR6 Turbo with Plexis Red Trim ???. I have one on order for November delivery and the dealer rang me last week to say it was here. Scared the crap out of me as it was only ordered in August. I suspect it was someone else's car that later cancelled their order. It seemed to be ok except for the fact the the trim was Plexis Grey. I found the grey very boring. The car is Mercury Silver.

The delaer is going to reorder in Plexis Red.....they assumed that I would want Plexis Grey as most customers find the red a bit "ghastly".

Have I made a mistake ????

I have leather on the inside of mine so I can't help you with the Plexis Red/Plexis Grey thing, sorry.

At a quess, I'd say you've probably gone the right way ... a little contrast is always a good thing, just look at the membership of this site. Couldn't get a more contrasting bunch if you'd planned it. :lol:

I have Plexis Red on my Venom T - it is a little 'out there' at first but you get used to it in a day or so. I'll try and take a pic tonight and post tomorrow but my camera has been playing up so we'll see.

Cardi wearers like Ken would probably opt for the PlexisGrey but true Red Blooded males like ourselves would have no problem with Plexis Red.

I probably wouldn't do it (I wouldn't buy a HgAg either...) but it's your car mate so you do whatever pleases you. :o

I got Plexis Blue in the Silverhawk.........real classy. B)

I think the Plexis Red would look good in a HgAg .... just my opinion, mind.

It wasn't me, officer ...

The first car I drove was a white XR with red trim.

I thought it was a bit much, and the beloved said...

"that's a cr@ppy, looks like a HSV, why dont we get leather"

And I certianly dont need encouragment to spend more money on cars so leather it was. :D

Admittedly it is a bit dark with the black seats and trims. Having seen a few cars with grey, phantom and blue trim, I think I could live with that, but definitly not the red.

In fact if I could have gotten a white car with phantom trim I would have done that and put the money towards premium brakes....
