On saturday I was giving my T a bit of stick and the oil light indicator went on. As I hadn't heard any loud noises indicating that I stuffed the engine up I decided to nurse the car to a servo and check the oil level in the car. When I checked it there was evidence of oil being sprayed around over the intake manifold and some on the rocker cover, I checked the oil, bone dry. Thought what the f*ck, have I blown the turbo? Put some more oil in and ran the engine for 5 mins, checked the oil, sure enough bone dry again! Looked underneath the car and there's an oil pool. At this stage I started to sh*t myself, I parked the car and arranged ford care to tow the car home as the people who service my car (Centre Ford) were closed. On monday I arranged again through ford care to get the car towed to the dealer, my first concern that they would try and say I voided the new car warranty by punting the car too hard. Service guys said they would check it out and call me back. That afternoon I get a call saying my cars ready to go!!!!! Apparently the seal or gasket on the oil filter leaked all the oil out? I was happy I hadn't totalled the engine or turbo, but I'm a touch paranoid as to how things went down. One the car was just serviced 3 weeks ago (30,000km) two they didnt give me any paperwork to evidence the repair, they just said it was covered under warranty. My issue is this, I reckon they didn't fit the oil filter properly when they did the service and because they f*cked up I may have caused damage to the engine. If the car later f*cks up because it was driven (for about 10 mins) with no oil I have no evidence on what just occurred and no come back to Ford. And to add to my weekend's misadventure the tow guys f*cked up my front spoiler. I haven't called I suspect they're just going to tell me to f*ck off.
