Well guess I have to post the only problem I have had, I picked up the T with 8000ks on the clock and drove to Sydney there was this faint high pitch sqeak squeak squeak noise that I first thought was breaks but countinued after ideling, turned out to be a pulley eatining into the drive belt, the mechanice at Ford dealersip up here at Coffs said he knew what the problem was without even looking at it, so must be a common warranty all fixed smailed again goes from ear to ear
  2. Phantom, really what more needs to be said??? huh I mean come on how many Blueprints are there?? and Acid its like a Holden(sorry for swearing) copy and white or HgAg come on dont make me barf talking about barfing orange ewwww
  3. Well question says it all, went to flick the T around and ah didnt happen, either I have a very loose handbreake needing adjusting or ABS, is that possible? I'd have thought the handbrake would be direct cable connection and over ride ABS.
  4. $972 Comprhensive $49,000 agreed value, admitadly it thru my girlfreinds no claim and myself as secondary driver but its saved us heaps NRMA. we transfered home and contents etc all over to NRMA and got discounts on our contents as well as pretty good comprhensive on the T

When I bought my T the mandtory options were premium brakes and leather, anything else would have been a bonus, I came across mine with only 8000ks on it an ex ford exec car, and it had both options, sure primium sound or sun roof or pollen filter or reverse sensors etc would have been nice but I woulndnt have bought it if it didnt have 2 things, breaks and leather, everthing else you can upgrade to later, Oh because of the larger breakes you get 17" rims with a spare. P.S comming soon xr8 bonnet, GT side skirts lowered and APS stage 2.
  6. Had a good laugh today, I had a job to do but couldnt fit the box in the xr6t so the boss gave me his keys to his commonhore wagon, well I loaded her up and headed off and there was a little bit of power then just all noise no touqe what so ever and the thing felt like it wanted to shake it self apart, next gear same thing. I went 15km then pulled over and got out to see if it had 3 cylinder or 4 cylinder stickers on the side, it was a v6, HAHAHAHA nearly coughed up a lung laughing HAhahaha

At least they dont drop their guts if inadvertaly shifted into reverse or park. Yup a mate of mine gave me a blast on his new bike, so of course I gave him a drive of the T, showed him how the sequential shift worked but he lost the plot whist shifting from 2nd to third must have though he was in a manual and grabbed the shifter with then button held in and shifted from 2nd to third like you would in a manual, thrugh reverse and into park at 100+ kicks, heart neraly jumped into my mouth, but she just rolled along like nothing happened as I quickly shifted it back to D Where it stayed for the rest of the ride.

  9. Whoa think I'll back it off a bit now vik, down in Sydney at the moment and of course everyone I catch up with wants to come for a spin in the beastie, well some damn nice power slides and she's always just straightened up beautifully, cept this arvo she flicked back and almost bit me in the arse, heart rate just coming back to normal pace. Other than that its been a great drive down from Coffs, really smooth ride, just one thing though it was making a faint high pitch squeaking noise, initially I though it was the premium breaks but came to a stop and it was still squeaking, stopped again at Taree and had a look under the bonet the sound had stopped by then but returned later, only thing I can think of is fan belt or bearing, theres black rubber dust all over the tensioner. Anyhow will get Ford to look at it when we get back
  10. Thanks for the welcome guys. Even you Ken I think Picked up the Phantom today :-)))))) Loooove it, smile on the dial still growing, but the fuel, fa*******rk me, drove out of the lot reading 144km fuel left, went for a 30k drive squirting it every where I could and damn only 70km fuel left, another 10-15ks and only 40kms left, she guzzles!. Still love taking off from the lights following someone, holding her in first 3000rpm car ahead moves over, plant the pedal and BAM!!!! yeeehaaa Seeeeya bye :-) Hang in there Voy, well worth it.
  11. I must have caught the girl friend on a good day as shes always said "Your never getting one" but Saturday we dropped into our local Coffs Harbour Ford dealer and minutes after sitting in one she admitted she liked it, but not more than her beloved 2001 SRi Barina. (Like theres any competition, but you try dragging a female away from a Barina, I swear Expensive Daewoo must put pheremones or something in em) Anyhow not being able to afford a new one I asked on the off chance if they had any used ones, and up there on stands was a May 2003 ex Ford exec Phantom XR6T with 8,000ks premium brakes, leather, tints fabric paint protection etc, throw in a towbar and I'm picking her up tommorow (birthday) lunch time. Dunno how I'm gonna sleep tonight, woke up 4:30am Sunday couldnt get back to sleep. PS love the site been reading it for months PPS She says theres no way its goin near APS
