The old tip from muffler was cut off and new one welded on. They did not take exhaust off the car. Thing is it resonates back through as I can hear it under my seat ?? The tip was 50 from supercheap. Think that's the problem. Don't want to buy another tip to find I get the same problem

I changed the stock exhaust tip on my g6et. From the muffler is single into twin oval tips. Here are the tips http://media.supercheapauto.com.au/sca/images/143258.jpg I now get this unbarable loud resonated humm or shriek on WOT. It sounds so cheap!! I cant believe this Do you think its a hole in the weld somewhere or because it splits from single into twin. please help im embarrased tro drive the car haha

The XR6T had 0030km. I just thought I could hear the note a little more coming through the boot/rear seats. Na dont want to remove the centre muffler as I dont like that cheap sound. I'll see how I go as more k's go on thanks

When I test drove a new FG XR6T I could hear the exhaust from inside the car. With my G6ET I cannot hear it. Does anyone know why? Is it due to the muffler? Or some kind of sound deadning. Anyone know where the sound deadning would be. Was also surprised to see a single 3" exhaust instead of twin 2.5" like my old BA XR6T had

I put a deposit down last sat for a 2010 White G6ET Euro 3 (April Build) with 012km on the clock 18's and mats for $43,300. Has July Rego Bargin! Pick it up this Sat..

Good work, I think that's a good deal especially with the 2010 and 19" I'm looking to buy in about 1 month. In Sydney I had one dealership start of with $49,000 for a brand new 2010 no options and without even negotiating he said he could hold the car for 14 days and maybe sell it as a factory(or showroom, cant remember)demo for $47,000. He seemed desperate but as I wasnt ready to buy I just shrugged it off. He kept asking what does he need to sell it at to sign today. I'm guessing $45K would be possible? The other option I am thinking of is a new 2009 model. I;m seeing a few of them floating around with 0025km for $47k so hopefully I can have that for $41K/42K? as they are 1 year old.

something simple like the BA FPV's would do the trick.BA FPV Bumper In the meantime thinking of spraying the rear diffuser on the G6ET to the FPV grey or 50th aniversary. Is this a simple job or would people recommend getting it professionally done

any update on this? would be great if it looked similar to fpv diffuser. Im not a fan of anything that would look too ricey

so would the G6ET and FPV have same headlights? I love everything about the G6ET except thw front bumper, so I too would be looking at fitting a FPV bar like the F6E. Not sure about the fibreglass jobies though

thanks for the comments, I agree. I will go dba whats peoples thoughts on the 4000XS series. Are there any problems with cracking and getting upto temp in street use? I have been offered slotted only as a better alternative but thing the drilled looks better

I'm looking at the xr50 too. ford website says 45,950 but I'm guessing that's for the manual. I also noticed it mentions rec pricing. So surley there has to be some movement with the dealer. They will be releasing these in batches until Oct that's when I'll be ready to buy and hopefully as been out for few months they will be ready to negotiate.

did they make any comments on diff clunk in these cars? I've read that the diff is not actually the problemis the cradle? or housing? Interested to know if the work they do will eliminate future diff clunk or what affect it has on bushes

Did you notice any reduction in power? I'm cautious when ford want to 'reflash' they may say remap shift points but what they may actually be doing is flashing a less powerfull tune as these things are definatly pushing out more that 270kw and doing this will save on warranty claims regarding diff etc. And the reason you dont get the thud anymore is because there is less power going through the drivetrain Regarding LSD, Im not sure hey, its going to become the family car as my missus and I are having a baby. So would only really be putting the foot in it when the baby not in the car. All this would only be in straight line usually.

Firstly does the dreaded clunk in rear end happen with the G6ET or is it only with the LSD in the XR and F6? Looking at buying in about 4 months time and considering the G6ET over the XRT for a few reasons. I think the XR's are too common especially the XR6 and I'm guarenteed to get everything I want with the G6, like leather, luxury dash, prem sound, ipod, rev sensors etc. Where as with the XR will be alot harder especially when I only want one colour - EGO. I would be looking at a demo as my budget will be low - mid $40K. What do you think they will be worth in about 4 months? 2010 demo or new floor stock? The series 2 may be out then too so a series 1 may be heavily discounted? Ive seen current prices at 46K- 49K (3000km to undriven demos) Thanks everyone

Reading that is a absolute joke! It actually makes me quite mad as I have had the same problem with my old ba. I had diff work done and for thousands of km I drove with rear end clunks and crabbing. Ford could not fix. I then started servicing my car elsewhere where they said the cradle was not put back straight. When I get my new FG I will only ever be taking it to ford for warranty work and then I will have the work inspected at my mechanic. If they have to fix things I will get ford to foot the bill

Ive decided I want to get the FG F6 instead of a XR6T. It will be a bit of a stretch money wise, but I know if I dont I'll will be kicking myself wishing I did. Well I saw and test drove the mazda MPS, looks good however I did not like the interior as its the same as a standard 3 apart from the centre consol, looks a little cheap. Its basically just a little pocket rocket, has plenty of go but nothing down low, bit of lag. The xr6t for much the same money would be much better value plus alot safer as some have mentioned. So I got to test drive a new 2010 xr6t with the zf and wow!!, so responsive and so much go even on 1/4 throttle. I miss the power of these things!! Now this unit only had 31km on the clock so there were no noticable noises. So my partner and I have pretty much decided on the xr6t, now just have to sell my Z save a little. Looking to buy in about 4-5 months Maybe someone can give me a indication of prices?? Talking to my local dealership who were really great said I could potentially get a demo or new with premium sound, tech pack for about 40Kish, leather would be a bonus. Other option is dealer 2nd hand like one I saw today. It was ex executive which was 09 ego 30,000km premium sound, tech pack reversing sensors for $40K. So imagine I could get that down to about 36/37K?? What to people think on the above price examples. Can anyone comment on how much movement there would be. thanks everyone

haha about the jap metal. I would definatly go the Auto and I did think about the BF F6 but looking a bit aged and FG looks more modern now. Cheers
