  1. OK cruise details :Section 1 Meet at Windy Point rest/pub car park at 6.15 pm leaving at 6.45 at the latest. From there up the hill to Blackwood and on to Coromandel Valley.Coro to Clarendon,McLaren Flat,The Range and regroup at the top of old Willunga Hill Rd.This section is tight, very windy, has off camber corners so be on your toes! Section 2 On to Myponga fast flowing road but a bit bumpy and down to Yankalilla,a great little track most of us are familiar with.Regroup at Yank get eats/drinks and onto Normanville jetty get a bit of sea air and see Voys love shack with German stuff maybe we can bludge a coffee.(your call Cain!).From there to Carrickalinga then up the hill to Myponga reservoir(brilliant piece of road but not long enough)and drive over the dam wall which is lit up and might be a photo opportunity. Section3 Option 1 Head inland on the Hindmarsh Valley Rd to Pt Elliot and regroup there, then to Currency Creek, Ashbourne and onto Meadows,a very challenging and fun piece of road.Regroup at Meadows then onto Echunga,Mylor.End of cruise thankyou,s and best wishes. or Option 2 Head down Sellicks Hill to Old Noarlunga onto the Southern Expressway down Goody Rd and into the city where Glen or Voy could take over for some quiet laps of the CBD ,check out the passing parade, stop for a coffee and a chat (maybe just Macca,s or something)Good byes and good wishes. An option which might appeal to the to the younger blokes. Please state your preference for the 3rd section and we,ll see which way the wind blows. As always speed limits and road rules will be obeyed, maps supplied on the day. Just a couple of thoughts, firstly I,d very much like to take up Glens idea of a Barossa cruise ,haven,t been there for years and also Viks idea for a trip to Clare but not overnight for us as we have an 18 mth old girl.Ok just a bit of feedback and its on.
  2. Does that mean Vik can still look at the site and not post or is he banned altogether?Anyway HAPPY BIRTHDAY Vik, 48 and still choofing along, not far behind you that's for sure.Still working on the route, did a rough draft came to 300k,s got to cut 100-120 k,s out of it,(a lot of real windey low/medium speed stuff) otherwise it,ll take a fair bit of driving time. Might hear from Vik via MP.

OK ktford you win! There was a pale blue XA 460 coupe at the last All Ford Day in Adelaide but I missed seeing it run on the dyno but no doubt it would have made the earth shake.

Have to admit if I shifted camps I,d be ok with a Clubsport, not bad for a cut and shut Vauxhall with a coke can under the bonnet.

Nothing beats the big bass bellow of a healthy clevo hey vik Went to bathurst in 77 when moffat/bond won and those things sounded truly awesome.Compared to them, todays v8 supercars sound like sewing machines.

Plonky I know exactly what that cop was doing,10k,s down the road he was at the general store walking out with an ice coffee as I was walking in.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. At the risk of trivialising a very tragic event, not only would I never race at the lights, but I,d never look up porn on the net,get drunk or fudge just a bit on my tax return, hell no.For our pious members of the constabulary,I,ve never ever ever ever seen a patrol car travelling at well over the speed limit without sirens or roof lights on,heeeeeeeeeeell no.I,m probably older than most on this forum and while there,s no fool like an old fool, but I,ve been around long enough to bet that nearly every car in this forum will be involved in a stoplight derby at some stage.Human nature being what it is ;this sort of thing has been going for yonks and will always go on,so how about we ditch the holier than thou crap.More patrol cars and less revenue raising cameras might be a good start but will governments put deterrents(lives) before dollars, hell no.Fines and loss of licences have some effect but the casualty ward is the best deterrent I,ve seen.

    I,m all ears Rusty,send me a message.
  13. Must be an Adelaide thing. You can get a run against almost anything almost anytime here, but definitely don,t take on the local Skylines, can be very embarrassing.
  14. Love shack?German sausages?Voy voy voy ...................... Night cruise sounds good, big brother camera in Myponga nearly all the time.Dates and times?Name them we,ll be there.

How strangely coincidental Rusty.Looking for an XB van as well,father/son project.Looked at a couple of GS XB coupes totally rusted out ,so the boy likes vans so we thought a GS lookalike in Emerald green/Apollo blue with silver GT paintouts would be the go.Of course we have the complete running gear out of the now deceased XR8 so it should be a good project if we find the right car to begin with.Good luck with yours ,we,ll be watching with interest, looks like you,ve got a good start there!

  18. Agree with you jep, every time I see that colour I think 74 Valiant Regal Ford have had plenty of good greens over the years perhaps XB Emerald Fire was one of the better ones :revive that?

That certainly sounds like a real test of loyalty and patience. Is it the car,the dealer or both?I,ve got to say that if I had those sort of hassles I might be looking elsewhere too ,but then that's a pretty nice looking ute Rusty.
  20. www.fpvxrclub.com.au look up for a "Mystery Cruise" on 27th leaving from Mitcham, probably wouldn,t mind a couple of tagalongs, get to see some GTs.Still smiling thinking about the last cruise, best bit; Vik 351 passing us at full noise just after Murray Bridge, car looked beautiful and sounded even better!
  21. I like pic 2,that's the cold air induction Plonky refers to in Shaker topic I reckon.
  22. Mr X replied to BADBOSS's topic in FPV & Tickford
