  1. Happy Birthday MikeyMike80!

  2. Ok, so I'm not sure if anyone can help me out, but I know that changing tyre size on a car can put the speedo out, my question is, what has to be changed or altered to make the speedo display the right speed. I know on older cars this involved changing a cog or something on the back of the speedo, I assume that this is no longer relavent due to electronic speedos, so does anyone know what has to be done, and who does it? I am looking at putting 19's on my BA XR6T but don't want my speedo to be out at all
  3. Ok, so I'm not really sure how to read this, and given that it is in HP not KW, I was wondering if this is still a pretty good figure. Your comments please........ Oh and if someone could please do the HP to KW conversion for me, coz I'm not 100% sure, someone told me that HP at the wheels equals KW at the fly or something like that, but I don't know how accurate that is
  4. I think everyone should leave him alone. People forget that what Ben took WAS NOT performance enhancing at all, the only person he was hurting was himself, and the drugs gave no benefit to his performance on the field, if he had have been taking steroids or HGH (Human Growth Hormone) then the story would be quite different.......... but he is all clear now anyway, and the AFL have strict guidelines that he has to abide by.... He is human and humans do make mistakes, being an ex addict myself I know what he has been through and unless you have been there also, you have no right to comment on the topic. Knock them dead Ben Cousins I say, and stick it right up all those people who had written you off, and refused to give you a chance!
  5. Couldn't really tell from looking at coil packs, but the plugs were a bit grubby I replaced the coil packs (set of 6 for $150 via ebay) and all 6 spark plugs (set of 6 for $90)..... problem solved I figured if I replace all coils and all plugs I should knock the problem on the head and it worked perfectly. Car is running awesome, putting the foot down feels good again! lol
  6. Problem all sorted, as you guys thought it was either the coil packs or the plugs, so I've replaced the lot (by myself Yewww) Car is running beautifully, back with it's full 325kw...... and wants to break traction frequently again. Lol Thanks to all for your advice
  7. Ok mate, cheers, I am on the coast, so I might give you a call. I really appreciate the offer
  8. I'm available for cruises, meet ups, BBQ's, Abusing Expensive Daewoo drivers (lol)... anything, anytime... during the week, weekends, doesn't matter. Starting to get all my mates in Falcs too now, so we are growing!!
  9. Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention, I'm in Buderim, so I'm not too far away either
  10. I have no idea why they would replce only one, and to make matters worse (and to save me some $$) they used a spare one they had at the shop, which may have already been used, stuffs me :-S Other than that the car ran beautifully for atleast 3 months, drove it up to Cairns and I averaged 9.2l/100K... for a performance car like that I think $165 in fuel (BP Ultimate) all the way up to Cairns was bloody good
  11. So far all I've done is Flash tune (325.4hp By RDP) F6 dual air intake, K & N Panel Filter and Removed Centre Muffler. that's all. I thought that maybe someone was playing funny buggers and put my car in Valet setting, but reflashed the ECU on saturday, still no change. The car was doing a similar thing prior to the car going down ro RDP, and when they had it, they replaced one (yes only one) of the coil packs, so I'm thinking, and hoping, that this is the same problem.
  12. Ok, so I had the flash tune done on my BA XR6T and the car has been running beautifully, until recently, when I go to over take and kick the car back, it gets up to about 3000 RPM and misfires, or coughs, pops and farts or something, but it sounds and feels horrible. And when the car is stationary and in neutral, I rev the car up, it hits 3000RPM and the revs die and drop right back down again, but I haven't taken my foot of the pedal Now I'm not a mechanic or anything, but I'm guessing it's either a problem with the throttle position sensor, Coil Pack/Plugs or injectors. I've put injector cleaner through itm abd it's made no difference If anyone can help me out and advise what to do, or if anyone else has this problem, could they PLEASE let me know, it's driving me nuts, and I thought I would try here before taking the car into Ford and paying thru the teeth Cheers in Advance Micheal
  13. Hi, not too sure when you posted this, however if you still need a car, I'd be more than happy to help out. I've got a Mercury Silver BA XR6 Turbo If you're still chasing, you can email me @ Micheal_r_22@Hotmail.com
  14. What I love is how the 'little boys' in VL's and VN's pull up next to me @ the lights and want to go, surely they don't think they will beat me, not that I condone street racing or whatever, but I think sometimes some people (Expensive Daewoo drivers) need to be put back in their place.... and the 'T' does that in spectacular fashion! lol And one more thing, the transport department should make ads telling the Expensive Daewoo Heroes (pfft) that all cars have 1000hp when the roads are wet, and they really aren't proving anything by lighting them up in those conditions! lol
