  6. Gents's, Met up with a forum member yesterday and I'm comfortable that everything is in order. That is, all the right bits in the right places. I've got an issue with an error code telling me that the boost sensor is not operating correctly (could be a broken wire) as we've swapped in a new sensor, but the error keeps coming back. We've also cleared the code a couple of times, but the fault is still present. Anyway, my Panel Shop and Ford Service Dept have been talking and the car goes in on Wed for repair. If you get to read this Peter, thanks for your time yesterday. What a coincidence that I neally ended up with your car a month or so ago! I love your entertainment set-up, it's brilliant. Dave
  7. has not set their status

  8. Cheers Guy's, Catching up with Peter tomorrow for a look-see to check if there are any differences. Dave
  9. Seven weeks ago I was rear-ended and shoved under a 4WD. There was a thread going around at the time. There was no structural or mechanical damage fortunately, but plenty of new panel's required. All up the cost of repairs (insurance) was $30k+ apparently. Well, picked up the car this afternoon, it drives OK, no different than before and the paint job on the new panels looks fine and all the gaps etc appear to be evenly spaced BUT, things look different. I'm sure some of the replacement parts are not OEM and I'm convinced there are some subtle bits and pieces missing!!! I need to compare mine to another BF MkII F6 even R-Spec if possible, 'cause I need to satisfy myself that I'm not mistaken so I can take my concerns up with the insurance company and/or the repairer, who by the way have given me excellent customer service over the past 6 weeks whilst the car has been with them. I'm after a favour. I'm hoping someone might be available over the weekend for 15-20 mins and let me compare the inside of my engine compartment and front guards, grill/insert, inside the boot to check if I've not been dudded on the replacement panels/parts. I'm in Murrumbeena, near Oakleigh, and happy to travel to you if someone has some time up their sleeve. Cheers guy's.....Dave
  10. Here's another one for the list! I Will be at the Vic Night Cruise 09!!! Dillz Matty macca2042 mntxr BAXR6BOSS (+5-8 other T's, coming from Northern Suburbs) Subjimbo GR8XR6 PAT!! Rapid R-SPEC t6xr ronburgundy mad_rx2 red rocket boosted_XR Rlquik MiKa AXR-Jet PSIFPV F6 Grandad
  11. Welcome - I had a Menace XR6 a while ago, never thought they came out in the Typhoon's. Good to see one at last. Now when people ask, and they will OFTEN - do you say it's purple, violet or magenta? Enjoy the new ride....
  12. The spare wheel well needs to be cut out and replaced, most of the other damage is remove and replace. Rear 1/4's seem OK. Bigget worry is drive-train and suspension etc.... Insurer is Just Car and the repairer is Rugolo's in Ascot Vale (Melb). The wait for the parts could be the burning issue.... The whole car will be resprayed except for the roof when I discussed this with the repairer earlier today...
  13. Got the bad news today - no write off! Apparently the car is repairable. It will cost close to $30k all up. The parts list alone is about $20k. The reason for this decision is because the repair bill is less than 70% of the agreed value of the car. Interestingly though, this excludes any suspension, tyre, wheel, brake or other mechanical damage! These things will only be examined and reported back to the insurer once all the panels etc have been removed. Maybe still a slight chance the plug will be pulled, otherwise R-Spec # 202.1 will be on the road in an extimated 4 weeks to infinity timeframe!
  14. Yeah, the other vehicle has 3rd party, but hasn't paid the excess yet despite lodging a claim, so things getting bogged down. Until the excess is paid there are no quotes, and until the car gets the full assessment, I don't know whether it will be written off or repaired.....hoping for some resolution on Monday - my preference is probably for a write-off (will miss the girl), but with a nice cheque I'll be looking to get straight back into one again asap. There is a couple for sale going around, so I might get lucky and pick up a good one. Pretty keen to get back into BF MKII F6 again...but I need confirmation of the extent of the damage first.
  15. The guy in the panel shop where the car is stored seems to think the most significant damage is at the back, even though the pictures don't really show all that much. The guy that I was pushed into says I lifted that back of the Landy off the ground and moved him quite a way's even though he could see all this happening, albeit in slow motion.....I figure I had up to 10 seconds watching this guy, eye's down and belting towards me! It wasn't all helplessness I was feeling, I knew what was about to happen and I was thinking no, no, no you've got to be f%%ing joking, this is not happening.....then ka boooom! Not wishing to offend anyone...but the OTHER driver....21 yr old, Indian (visa) student, no aust driving licence, in a 30 yr old Toyota borrowed ute with Courier scribbled on the drivers door in texta......Me and my car diserved a f$%#ing lot better than to be taken out this way!!!!
