I was suprised to hear that 3rd Party Insurance isnt compulsory. Meaning that if someone hits you and they are in the wrong, then it is up to them to give you money for the damage because they may not have insurance lol. Imagine hitting a $200K car and writing it off, that's half a house!

NSW Spotted Thread
I saw on the way to work this morning in Unanderra a white turbo with plates HU 57 LA with big chrome 20's (I assume) and a big FMIC. I think he may be a member on here. If you are, I work just around the corner from you! Edit: Just did a search and found him lol. Nice looking car mate, should come to the cruise tonight. I work in Doyle Avenue at Australian Lock Co.

Motor Magazine Fpv F6 The Best Aussie Muscle Car Ever
that's correct, they generally just put them in there and what ever they have good photos for get the bigger spreads and/or ranking. The top 10 is not ranked and they have stated that many times when readers write in and debate the order.

German Grand Prix
I thought Channel 9 gave him a fair amount of coverage. It was all over the Today Show in the morning and they had an 5min interview with him. Good effort Webber!

I Want Induction Noise!
My first 'mod' was a K&N Filter with the F6 snorkel. Did virtually nothing in my opinion. It was only very slightly louder and you had to squint to hear it lol. My new set up gives the sound I was originally after and that is with a under battery CAI with pod filter.

Hard Acceleration Problem
Yeah WTB ability to run 15psi tune reliably!
-
Hard Acceleration Problem
No I don't have a boost gauge :( Yeah it is a site sponsor also so guess I'll just have to take it back and see what the go is. The reason it tapers back to 10psi is because I only have a stock actuator. that's what I was given on the day as far as the tune went and makes me think it was more about power numbers than what the car had to support.
-
Hard Acceleration Problem
Haha yeah its probably ok but just want to be safe not sorry! It spikes to 15psi then tapers back to 10, but yeah would not like to blow an engine that's for sure.
-
Hard Acceleration Problem
Yeah I always run 98 now since it has been tuned. I'm hoping the afr's are ok. Didn't get a printout of those either when I got my dyno sheet, just a power graph..

Hard Acceleration Problem
Yeah I am starting to think exhaust also but not exactly sure. I don't like the idea of running the 15psi tune anyway as the bottom end is stock. I think when I took it in, the tuners thought 'Hey this guy is young, lets give him a number that he will be stoked with' and admittedley I was impressed when I was told "Yeah your car made 300rwkw" but I dont like the idea of 15psi. I think I'm going to save for an exhaust so that way I can have the same power at less psi... Do you think the valve springs could cause the sort of issue I am describing also?

Hard Acceleration Problem
Ok guys I'm hoping you can help me out here. I've been having a problem with my car for a while now. After I got my custom tune I got the standard 3 tunes on the SCT Flash 1 box. Economy, High Performance and Valet. After I got it done I would drive around with the High Performance tune loaded and for the first couple of weeks it was fine. After that I started to notice that under full throttle acceleration it would have a weird surge feeling, it felt like traction control was cutting in but it also happens when T/C is off. I thought it could have been low fuel but it has happened with all sorts of fuel loads from 100% full to very low. So ruling out fuel load and T/C I thought it was the stock fuel pump. I have since fitted the Walbro GSS 340 in tank pump but once again it is happening. So I have been trying to figure out what it could be. It only happens on the 15psi High Performance tune, on Economy Tune (which I reckon would be around 8-10psi from a seat of the pants feel as my tuner never told me) the car runs perfectly fine. I can give it full throttle all day long and it never happens. However once the 15psi tune is loaded up it starts happening again. So what could it be? It doesn't really happen until she really comes on boost around 3000rpm and will happen anytime after that under full throttle. Could it be fuel surge? Could it be valve springs? Could it be the stock cat not flowing enough? I have stock valve springs and it is a BF mk 1. It also has a stock exhaust and is a 6 spd auto. For all my mods see sig. Thanks for any help guys. For now I am stuck driving around on economy tune until I can get it worked out. Lucky it is still a weapon to drive with this tune in haha!

New Zealand Cruise & Chat Thread
I just spent a week driving around the South Island and I think I saw 2 Xr6 Turbo's max...The roads you guys have over there are amazing but everyone drives around in POS cars lol. Some of those mountain passes are pure heaven and I saw 1 cop in 1500k's of driving. The whole time I was in the camper I was just dreaming of having my car over there! I did see a few R33 Skylines though lol. I remember one of the NZ guys who wanted to compare XR6 turbos to Skylines saying Christchurch was the Skyline capital of the world, I think he is right haha.

Do You Think The Xr6t Needs Something...
I think the FPV's have the looking different covered, after all they are cut from the same taxi pie. You can always tell a turbo anyway if you look for the cooler in the front and especially on the FG's with the larger shinier cooler. If you have a BA/F just get a mega cooler up front and that's all the differentiation you need. To tool up for a new front bar would be extremely expensive and add a lot to the cost of the car and would probably look weird if you only did the front bar and left the skirts and rear bar alone. By the time that all happens with the extra cost difference you might as well buy the F6.

New Territory?
Im glad we have people like Venomxr6 and Bunna on the forum, guys who actually work on the production line and have a better understanding of why such decisions are made because there is a lot of here-say and speculation being thrown around all the time. These guys do a good job of clearing it up. I reckon if you can do a better job of running Ford Oz, put your resume in

Ideas For Retrim Colour
Wow that red leather looks crap! haha looks like a VT GTS interior. For a black car and if you are going to the trouble of custom trimming I would go white or as senna said a tan colour could look ok also
