  1. A couple of quick checks before you go too far: 1. Check the clip that holds the intake pipe to the IC outlet. Change this to a clamp ASAP. 2. Make sure you have the best 98RON available in the tank. 3. Re-gap your plugs to at least .98 or less. That ought to get you going OK. BTW, what is the ambient temps and humidity like there today? If it was warm and humid, ask CAPA to supply you with the "Qld tunes" in your flasher. They are different as they are set for higher ambient temps. Good luck and let us know how you go.
  2. I was always going to mod mine, however, the information I've received from this site has been invaluable in the modding choices I've made.
  3. CAI tomorrow and exhaust by next weekend. I can see it coming..... Congratulations and welcome to the EDIT club.
  4. It more related to what's happening to the air whilst you are accelarating. By the time you slow down, stop etc., the cooler will have had an oppotunity to cool itself down a little. Particularly now that the temps have dropped.
  5. The limit (cooling rather than flow) really depends on where you are at and the season you are in. As I understand it, the power drop (particularly in edited cars) is related to the increase in intake charge (air) temperature. The ECU sees the increase and adjusts the settings (timing fuel etc) to protect the engine. Applying this to the relatively small standard intercooler will mean that a guy in Brisbane will drop power quicker/earlier than someone in Melbourne. Higher ambient temps. In Brisbane, you really notice the difference between winter and summer even running stock. Let alone on an edit higher boost map.
  6. How does a rising rate regulator squeeze more fuel in then the injectors are maxed out? Increase the fuel line pressure.

CONGRATULATIONS ZAP, Mum and Brady!!!! Life will not be the same again. Responsibility does good for a bloke. I will never forget the first time is saw the faces of my 2 children. They are some of the most precious memories I have. Enjoy you new family. Cheers
  8. I know how you feel. I got 265RWKW on that map. Welcome to the EDIT club and enjoy the new found power. Be careful as it is addictive. You'll be looking for more quicker than you can say "injectors".
  9. Let us know the results Alex. Cheers
  10. Nice numbers guys. Dynowog just finished a car for a mate of mine. A bog stock T with missing issues etc. He was so unhappy with his car that he was looking to get rid of it. A couple of days at the wog shop seems to have changed his mind. Nick, can you please post a dyno graph from Slugger's car.
  11. Mine surges at around 2000 on the crusie control. Does it with Edit, and did it pre-edit (Stock) Notice mostly when going down a slight incline when theres minimal load on the donk. Has to be turbo boost coming on and off Actually, this happens with quite a few cars on cruise control, from my experience anyway. It usually happens when you are going down a hill where the slope is just enough so that the force of gravity pushing you down the hill is almost exactly equal to the force of all resistance (wind, tyre friction, etc). So its simply the cruise going "oh... We're going faster than we need, so lets use 0% throttle... Hang on, now we're going slower, 10% throttle... Oh wait, faster, no wait.... " You get the idea. It does this in our Ghia and our liberty. And yes, it is a noticable surge, not just a slight push, a surge. Infact it could quite possibly be the driveline slack being taken up which is making it more noticable in the T's. The reason I would suggest this, and not the turbo spooling, as the cause of the surge is because off boost the T still produces enough torque to get you allong, without needing to make any boost, especially when only ~10% throttle is applied. So I wouldn't put it down to the turbo itself... Meh, just typing as I think. My 2c. Sounds about right to me.
  12. No. I still haven't made it back to PTE since the last time. They've been fairly busy as well. I still have some issue with my updated diff so I'm concentrating on FOMOCO.
  13. Me too. Hopefully: - the weather stay good - some ricer doesn't lunch the gearbox in in their mum's car and leave oil all over the track - you all come back with 10's. Good luck fellas!!!
  14. OK. So here's the list so far: SIXRT Jetute Ch0pper Please add your name to the list guys.
  15. Please let us know the results. Should be good with the cooler weather.
  16. Deserves to become the new shower block darling....
  17. Just wondering whether you work pays any of the running costs of your vehicle or whether you simply claim a tax deduction for the expenses? from what you said it sounds like you claim a tax deduction (due to ITWV and no FBT). Cheers, Ford Grunt. 100% correct.
  18. OK. Who's in and where are you located?

Fantastic effort Craig! Congratulations on an absolutely awesome time. That 60' time is brilliant as well. What's your secret? Here's to a 10 next week. Remember, last time you promised me a 11.5 and delivered the following week. Care to go for 2 out of 2?
  20. So that's at least half a dozen members interested in a group buy. A decent price will get a nice order.......
  21. Good results Turbs! Man that thing must be interesting in the wet.
  22. Looks great! Braided lines next??
  23. I have always chosen CHP over Novated Lease. The reasons for me have been: - I get a healthy discount on the car through work, so it negates the GST factor. - I use a log book to claim the (high) business usage. - An ITWV ensures that an appropriate %age of the vehicle allowance is remitted without being taxed. This also allows you to tailor your payments/residual nexus. - I have no restrictions on KM usage. - FBT is not an issue. - Another factor to keep your eye on when considering a novated lease - CHECK THE INSURANCE. Some people I know have taken the Novated Lease option and have had to make a claim on the insurance policy only to find that their excess is sky high. The leasing organisation has obviously done this to reduce the costs etc. Good luck with whichever way you decide to go.
  24. Martin, How about giving us an idea of a group buy discount price.
  25. Now there's an idea I'm interested.
