  1. Hey Trent, Shaz and anyone else involved.......Awesome cruise. Glad I'm back!!!! FXR6T.com FTW Today was really fun and I had a ball. Lot of new faces since I had attended the last cruise and was glad to meet ya's. I'll sign up to more for sure. Now I've been on a few other forum events and it was actually a pleasure to attend this one. The UHF communication was top knotch, the use of the buddy system was great and luckily there was no major drama's with the two F6's that had the old engine light come on. You guys still do the old cruise gallery thing or shall I start postin? lol, have a few pics that turned out alright actually.
  2. GPS FTW I'll be leaving from Caboolture early in the morning, hoping to get to the meeting point in time. Staying there over night as Saturday I'm at my best mate's wedding.
  3. Well I'm lovin my 2008 EGO Manual FG XR6T. I missed the BA, even after driving an EVO 7 and a Mazda 3 MPS. I was actually thinking of getting the most recent XR5 Focus but I test drove a G6E T and a XR6T and well, I was considering the ZF 6 speed box but it's not me, love my manuals saw one of the only manuals up for grabs (pre Sept 2008) and grabbed it. How is it going so far? Nothing bad to report as I only have about 3500 on the clock and be well over 4000 by the time the weekend's cruising is over. Car is feeling strong. The 6 speed manual feels awesome and well I hope I've done the running in correctly. Aiming for 230RWKW stock...lol. Mods? Not for a little while yet. King Springs are probably 1st on the list, then a dump/cat/zorst n tune further down the track, maybe larger intercooler n injectors. One thing though, the standard brakes aren't that flash, only real complaint I have. Be lookin at upgrading them 1st if I do mod.
  4. K Guys...I'm in, don't care, had a weekend of cruisin last weekend. I'm up for it all over again. Signed up and will be rarin to go. CYA'S on the 15th!!!
  5. Yeah it sux and I'm sure there are a lot of people here that will feel for ya dude. The Phantom NA had someone run into the back of it in a secure car park. Was really shirty about that. My car was usually parked in the 'larger' spots for that reason, pleanty of room between cars and minimal chance of doors knocking into your panels. Unfortunately it was in an area that was not covered by security camera's. just had to ware it. Had a few scratches and door dents and I'm sure more will happen with the new FG. My MPS copped a dent in the roof, several deep scratched near the drivers door handle and about 3 door dings. The FG's already been keyed, not badly but it was able to be fixed. That's parked at a train station. Unfortunately, working in the city, it's unavoidable unless I drive in or get a bomb to go to the station in, might yet...

and welcome to the madness. (Have to start greetin' the newbies), need more!. I tried to escape ages ago but got drawn back to the asylum. ......Sick of the ricers and the wankers, 'tards, whatever associated with that scene... Go the manuals!! Drivin' a new FG EGO XR6T 6 speed "MANUAL" and lovin' it, just been in for it's 3000k checkup...
  8. Sh*t!.......LOL! My mates wedding is on the 14th! Making this would be a challenge but damn I want to attend the 1st cruise in the new beasty.....Grrr.
  9. Well EGO's not far off......lol. is it Silver or Black Went from 3.2 to ermm 1.2% above average, well..............lol. Mood swings.......FTW
  10. Well I have 2 Mutts, lucky me Siberian Husky's. Their names are Koda (Friend) and Nisha (Night). Here's some pics of the terrible duo. Koda as a pup Nisha as a pup The two of them growing up rather fast and up to no good. More recent shot of Koda and Nisha... (@ the new place, lying on the decking I actually assisted in building with my uncle Brian). Koda - More recent shot Nisha - More recent shot
  11. Have the 120GB I-Pod classic also. Know what you mean if you're searching through Albums, painful... I just leave it on "Random" lol, hope for something good to come up. Meh, have a good run, have a bad one....lol. As for the I-pod freezing when you connect it, I think it did happen once, next time I was in the car, all AOK again. My I-Pod did stuff up. You could navigate through the songs but nothing would play, I drained it, thinking once recharged and re-synced, it would be fine, ermm, nope. remembered the combination to reset the I-Pod by pressing and holding the centre button and the "Menu" button together until you see the apple logo appear. It worked. Handy trick.
  12. Why I jumped at my FG XR6T, was a Pre-September model. Hence about $7K off the price. $42K drive away. $27K trade on the MPS. If the price is going up and I wanted additional extras (which I don't really care about). To be honest, seem to be the better deal for me to go for it now as opposed to waiting a while for my car to sell privately, order a new one (or hope one I want was already at a Ford dealer) as I couldn't see me getting more then $29,500 for a 2006 MPS with the new Mazda 3 MPS just being around the corner if I wanted a quick sale.
  13. Been giving mine a hard time running it in and can't believe it's averaging only 12.7l per 100k at 2000kms. Easily 1/3 of that has been mountain driving. Could be a lot worse.
  14. Awesome. Gotta be proud of that beasty. Very, very nice indeed. FG FTW! 2000 kays in mine and I've loved every moment in it. Yeah, I'd be interested in the part number also mate. They handle brilliantly so maybe 'the Kings' is all they need. Made the world of difference in the BA XR6T I had.
  15. Not at all mate.....Takes a while to start though. As if the battery doesn't have enough juice to kick it over. I'll have to ask Ford about it on the 3000k checkup. I usually let it run for a few mins if cold before I take off and don't give it a footful until the oils up to temp. I know my BA MK II did do that from time to time but you would know if it was miss firing, more a drop in revs, then picks up, etc, was fairly normal and I think a few ppl on this forum mentioned something similar being fairly normal. This baby runs sooo smooth from the moment you start. Spent the last two weekends doing mountain runs and hwy driving. I've clocked 1800 kays already and it has not been easy driving, I've given it a hard time. How it's averaging only 12.7l per 100k is beyond me...........1st 1000k's? Umm, did more then 1/2 of that on mountain runs laboring the beasty in high gears up hill. Giving it a kick in the gutz but not exceeding 4000rpm. This 1000, I've opened it a wee bit more, had some "AHEM" fun and it's feeling strong. Think I have a good one. Be keen to dyno it soon and see if I'm close to 230RWKW...lol. Someone I know on the OzMPSClub.com forum, his old man has a FG XR6T and got 267 RWKW so there's hope .
  16. When I get bored of it stock, give it a month, LMAO! Nahh, not for a little while yet. The FG's are something else, loving it ATM. 270kw stock with a wee bit less torque then the BF F6? Oh yeah! Totally different animal then the BA, handles brilliantly. Even the exhaust note sounds tough, it surprised me, I know one thing for sure, I miss the cornering ability of the MPS but getting back into one of these gems, hmm, MPS what? lol. It's soon becoming a distant memory. The brand that makes sense hey? Tell you what, I haven't been able to wipe the grin off my face all week. Plan to put a few more kays on it this weekend also. Have a slow leak in the rear LHS tyre, need to get that sorted. Once it is Sat morning, it's fun time again....Hoping to do a good job running it in, 225 to 230 rwkw would be nice goal to aim for
  17. Well OK then Venom XR6 & XRDOSE, my mistake......lol. The "TR6060" feels a sh1tlo@d better then the T56. Just hope it's as bullet proof. Did another 200 kms in it today after work. LOL, will do a 1000 by tomorrow easily at this rate. Tab, yeah I should have come along. getting the GF to come to a FORD Cruise, hmm, there lies the challenge. she will go, just gotta push harder...lol. I'm going to 2 upcoming OMPSC and OMC cruises, only fair....lol. As for organizing the cruises? lol. R-Spec - It took me a while to get used to the rear end but all in all, I can put up with a slightly ugg rear end. I did drive a MPS 3, used to an ugly rear end and a sexy front....lol. Benny & EZ2CME - Yeap, Tis I. lol.
  18. 900 kays in 3 days, Lovin this FG XR6T.
  19. Howdy Forum members old and new. Some would know me as "XR6TU" Was a moderator a while back and also assisted with the QLD events from 2003 to 2006ish. Well I went away to try a few different things. Had an EVO 7 that I soon sold and with an additional few $, I landed myself a Mazda MPS 3 2nd hand. Now I was looking at a ford at this stage and came sooo close purchasing a Black Focus XR5 Turbo. My partner at the time was in the MX-5 club and well, both cars were neck n neck, the MPS came through on a few points but to be honest, had I have gone the XR5, I'd still have it, grr.. Anyway.... Since then I have and still do have some excellent friends that accepted me and friendships grew in the OzMazdaClub.com community. Now there was a bit of rivalry in the forum and a good mate, Doug Podesta (Who annoyed me to breaking point originally, convincing me to get an MPS), formed OzMPSClub.com. I am still a member and well since my partner, Donna is an active member of both forums, I'll still be a part of that community and always will be. Recently My MPS developed a few annoying issues and to be perfectly honest, I was missing the fords way too much, test drove the FG XR6T manual and ZF auto and well, the old spark came back and well.... I needed to get my a$$ back into one. Opportunity of a good trade in and finding what I want, Pre September 08 (7K off), I said bugger it!!!! Get into a new car from the word go and stop inheriting issues with 2nd hand cars. Well This Saturday, I took delivery of a brand spanking new EGO FG XR6T Manual and I love it. It doesn't have a lot of features, just the Tech Pack (I-Pod and Bluetooth integration). Done almost 700 kms yesterday and today. It included driving through Mt. Mee, Mt Nebo, Mt Glorious.....Springbrook.....etc. What can I say? I LOVE IT & Man it's good to be back!!! And fo those of you that still believe in shifting gears & "using a clutch", I have to say WOW. The FG series T56 feels soo nice compared to the noisy clunker I had in the BA MK II XR6T T56. Anyway, Hope to see some of you members on upcoming cruises and events. Here are some pics.
  20. With the mountain runs I've done running my new baby in for the last 2 days, haha, I should have come along. Oh I'm in for the next one guys. Glad you had a great day ppl. AWESOME!
  21. I can vouch for that currently owning a MPS. Mod wise, it only has a cat back and a piasini tune but it's a little weapon. Some of the MPS guys out there have some impressive power gains on the mods they have done with these things. How strong are they is the question though. Personally I can't wait to get back into a larger car and well, reason for the change. Do have a lot of respect for the guys though. Great bunch of people and will still be in contact with them although I've moved to the "dark side" again so they say....lol.
  22. Oh I'm liking this. I must admit I was worried about the fuel consumption but some of you guys are getting good results and they are barely ran in. AWESOME! Bring on the morning of the 10th when I take delivery of the EGO 6 speed 'manual' XR6T!!! :w00t:
  23. Would love to go guys but the FG will be a day old as I pick it up on the 10th. Depends how much driving I do in a day eh? lol. Best to run it in properly. It is a great cruise though, guys should enjoy it. Went and did the QMF cruise with the OzMazdaClub in the MPS I currently have and it was awesome! LOL, got airborne in a few parts.
  24. Yeah mate, looks like the case. lol. I'm in a position to do it and it's a keeper, mine from the word go and paid in full with the trade in instead of being cheap and buying ones 2nd hand. look fwd to seeing all the changes to the site. Well it's all new to me, been a while. Saw the cruise you have organized. Temping to go but the T will be only a day old.....lol. Maybe the next one. Going with the OzMazdaClub to QMF falls anyway on the 22nd Feb with my partner who has a Mazda2 GENKI, can be a very interesting cruise indeed, went for a bit of back road goat track rallying last time in the MPS lol.
  25. OMG, March 8th 2004 and the same thread's still going, LMAO! Nice to see some things don't change, lol.
