  1. One for the geeks out there.... Just found this little article which I thought was quite interesting - even if in reality it is totally useless! A dude has put a PC in the boot of his RX8 and then setup his iPod touch to communicate directly with it via the net - to allow remote starting, locking, etc, etc. He can do it from anywhere in the world. Pointless, but cool! For more detailed info click here
  2. Jeez mate, you might want to check you piston rings or turbo seals - she seems to be blowing a fair bit of smoke in that first picture!! The motor could be on the way out.....
  3. Anyone who went to TG Live will remember this from the start. Turn it up nice and loud. Gotta love the sound of them old Ferrari's! View Video on FQuick
  4. The ACT XR/FPV club got some cool shots from their display. Check it here -> http://www.fordforums.com.au/printthread.p...age=4&pp=25
  5. Same as recalibrating the old TPS.... Press the loud-pedal to the floor and turn the ignition on. The car won't (shouldn't) start. That will reset the old girl!
  6. Ahh nice one! Thanks P4AN1C Hey Jet - give it a shot and tell me if it works!
  7. I'm 24 - with NRMA - full comp and it cost me $1k pa. Excess is $850 I think, and I had no previous insurance! But I have a clean record of almost 8 years.
  8. That old chestnut - foot flat to the floor, turn key... So a new one off a BF should fix it then? Will it still fit on the old plug considering the housing is slightly larger or that doesn't matter?
  9. Datsun 1600. Built by Fitzpatrick speed works.
  10. That phoon is a Canberra car! I didn't know you were down this way 72!?! Made the move from NT then? Those vents look shytehouse BTW...
  11. Hmm... I got no clue on the SIDO but the build info is: BA MK2 - 05/05 - what info can you gather from that? I've reset the TPS also but obviously you mean it’s actually crapping itself. I'll have to have a squiz at the regulator. Thank you sir!
  12. I have done T/B, air filter, fuel filter and plugs and it still does it - only thing I haven’t done from your list is coils.... Although, as I said mine only does it rarely as opposed to jets which seems to do it heaps more.
  13. Admittedly I haven't seen the movie in its entirety - but I have seen a fair few of the various scene's (yes, the bad ones) and it just looks like one of those dodgey 80's movies, that was scary for its day but just rubbish now. I couldn't take it seriously so it didn't have much effect on me. I reckon today’s generation is so desensitised to violence and gore - Well, I know I am anyway. A bit like Alfred Hitchcock’s - Psycho and A Clockwork Orange. I remember watching them both a few years back and after hearing their reputation and everyone telling me they were really violent, scary, etc - but they were both crap. You see worse stuff on CSI these days....
  14. Yeah mine does pretty much the same thing. Its only since being tuned but. No idea why unfortunately. 97% of the time it starts and runs perfectly but just on random occasions it will do those exact symptoms..... weird
  15. Oil leaking from the diff is the symptom of a farked diff bush. Got mine fixed late last year plus an LSD shim and a couple of other goodies! It’s so tight now it may as well be a locker. It leaves lovely sets of black calling cards. The tail shaft noise could be the weights - they may need seeing too. Clutch and GB are normal problems. Flush and changing the oil might help out for a while. The solution to all of it, is turn the stereo up! I have never driven or even heard of a car that doesn't make little noises and creaks!!
  16. There is some very cool big boys toys out there but I reckon one of these would be very close to the top of my list. My mate had one with a CR250 motor and it was scary-fast. This would be insane!
  17. Yeah, not sure when they are being released but you have to get in quick with only 77 being made. I would imagine there is some stiff competition! You can get custom side skirt engraving when you build a DB9 so I reckon they would sort you out with some "Smicky Specials" on this one! Dunno, what that will do to the re-sale value however....! I reckon if you can rake up enough coin to buy one, paying off the missus XR5 is the least of your worries! Here’s hoping your tats lotto numbers come in! I shotgun a drive if they do but…..
  18. Wow! All handmade, only 77 being produced and personally tuned and tweaked to your specifications when you take delivery! Just awesome! However..... I don’t like the exterior styling that much! Something about those rear guards rubs me the wrong way. Still prefer a DBS! (better put my flame suite on, hey smick!! )
  19. After reading the title I was just going to reply with - 6 billion rear wheel megawatts on 2psi - after thinking it was one of "those" threads again. But, as usual, you're taking the piss again SD - which I love - so, touché and nice work!! Hey, didn't senna give you the arse?? (not in the literal sense of the word....... unless.....?!?!)
  20. Oh yeah, all those parts for 7k is probably not bad, be he reckons he got quoted 7k to fix it! Dodgey as....
  21. Fark, that’s not repairable (legally) and certainly not for 7k!!
  22. Got wood...? I would do anything for one of these......ANY....THING!!!!
  23. Yeah, I agree with everyone else - the lower back pain is the worst! I've only got a mild case of it and its bad enough. I'll tweak it and it will buggered for a couple of days and I will struggle to get around, then it goes away. Numerous moto and downhill bike stacks have contributed to that one. I reckon a good dose of gravel rash is also real painful! I came off my DH bike at just on 60km/h one day as I crossed a patch of tarmac. The font wheel hit the lip of the tar as I came off the dirt and I went off the side of the bike. Took pretty much all the skin off one side of my body. From my right knee up to my waist, then up my back to my shoulder and all my right arm and a bit of my face. Just shredded my clothes and then my skin. Digging the bits of gravel out and putting anesthetic on is not fun and it stings for weeks! Got scars all over me from damn bikes!! But I luv em....
