What abut something like this. It is on ebay for $125. Would be alot cheaper than changing ignition and all of that stuff I would think.

Copy that. Thanks very much mate. I tried to rev it today because it was running rough but I got concerned when it stopped at 3000RPM. It makes sense. Thanks Brendan Bk284

Hey guys I have a BA Xr6T with the 4 speed auto gearbox. Just a quick question which may seem silly to some of you butnI have not noticed it before. When the car is on and the gear select in neutrel is there a rev limiter or something because I could not get it above 3000RPM. There must be a cut out or something. Like I said might sound silly to some of you but if you could let me know for my own piece of mind it would be greatly appreciated. If it is supposed to be there what is its function. Thanks Brendan Bk284

I had the centre muffler removed from my 03 BA XR6T a few months ago. It sounds good but I just dont think it is for me. If there is anyone from wollongong with a T or someone willing to travel that wants to get this mod done I am willing to do a straight swap. PM me or post if interested guys. Thanks Brendan

Is the lining easy to remove from the seat. I can see where the break is and I looks as if it has snapped and not just come apart. I will have to have a better look with the leather off. If anyone can tell me how to remove the seat lining would be much appreciated. My heater problem is that it simply will not work I found another post saying that the weakcontrol arm tends to break and this is the main cause of the problem. Thanks alot Brendan

I have a 03 BA XR6T with leather seats. A few weeks ago I felt a crack in the backrest of the front drivers seat. Then every time I went around the corner one side of the backrest would lift up a the join from the back to the base. A quick inspection revealed that I had snapped the metal frame of the back rest just aove the pivot point. I have been to fraud but they keep saying like 600-800 dollars for the frame and then I would have to have an upholsterer remove the leather and apply it to the new frame. I have a few other options. Maybe remove the leather and have the frame welded. Can someone tell me if the standard BA model has the same frame in the seats. This may be another option to buy an oldseat from a wrecker and have the leather changed over. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I am worried that if I do not get it fixed soon that the other side will break. This is the first ford I have owned. I am really impressed with the power and the reliability of the engine and components so far. Its a pity that the inside of the car is not up to the same standard. P.S my heater has just stopped working as well and apparently that is not an easy fix for a vehicle out of warranty. Thanks Brendan

You had me confused until I showed my brother and he explained it to me. Maths was not my strong point either.

Yeah I had the same prob a short time ago after dropping the front left off the road edge and hiting it. I bought the piece, (sway bar linkage) from pedders. From memory I think it was like 50 or 60 dollars and it would not have been to hard to fit. I found out larer that the reason that mine was so hard to fit was that I had also bent a bracket that holds the sway bar to the chasis of the car. If you have done this to it is only like 20 dollars from Fraud. took me most of the day but once I knew what the problem was it was not a big job really. If you have not got the right tools dont even try it but because it will do ya head in. If you have some basic tools give it a go. I am not overly mechanically minded but I was able to do the lot in a day. If you need any help just let me know as I only did it a few weeks ago so it is all still reasonably fresh. Best of Luck Brendan

I like the dark stripes that dont stand out as much but I reckon they look better plain old black. But it realy comes down to what you like. My opinion.

Yeah I know hey. I was no suggesting that he had done anything dodgy. I just wanna know for sure if it was posted and who through so that I can go and have a crack at them. Thanks again Brendan

About three weeks ago now I bought something off TornadoJudd. He said that he sent the stuff but I have not recieved it yet. I have sent a few pm's and emails but maybe he does not get on the computer much, I'm not to sure. If possible can somebody get in contact with him if you know him and just get him to reply to one of my pm's or emails so I can sort out where the package may have been lost in transition. Thanks in advance. Brendan

Sounds great to me man. Hopefully I can get along to one or two of them for the first time.

A Few Ideas Ive Been Playing Around With.
bk284 replied to F6_Charlie's topic in Interior & Exterior Workshop
Im not realy a huge fan of either but I am a bit bias. I like plain coloured cars more, but that is just my opinion. If you like the look of one go for it. You are the only one who has to enjoy it so why not. Would be alot of money to spend to realise that you didnt like it after all. -
Little bit off the topic but still on BOV. I am looking at getting the replacement Bosch BOV for the T. It is a direct replacement for the original but it is nice and shinny. There are also a few other advantages apparently. If anyone is interested just post uo in the ideas for group buys section. I have already posted in there with bit more info and pics. Brendan

HEY GUYS I AM INTERESTED IN BUYING ONE OF THESE BOSCH BYPASS/BOV. BOSCH BYPASS/BOV THEY ARE ONLY AVAILABLE FROM AMERICA AS FAR AS I CAN FIND. I EMAILED THE SELLER AND ASKED ABOUT POSTAGE TO AUSTRALIA ETC AND WAS GIVEN A SINGLE PRICE OF ABOUT $90 TO $100 AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS. I SINCE EMAILED HER BACK AND ASKE ABOUT A GROUP BUY AND WAS TOLD THAT IF WE WERE TO BUY 10 OF THEM I COULD HAVE THEM DELIVERED FOR ABOUT $60 TO $65 AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS AT THE CURRENT EXCNHANGE RATE. AS STATED ON THE WEBPAGE FOR THIS PRODUCT THE MAIN THINGS ARE: GREATLY IMPROVED DESIGN BENEFITS: >ALUMIUNUM HOUSING VERSES PLASTIC OF BOSCH ORIGINAL >POLISHED FINISH IS MORE ATTRACTIVE THAN THE BLACK ORIGINAL >INTERNAL FLOW PATH IS LARGER FOR QUICKER RELEASE >IMPROVED PERFORMANCE IN ONLY MINUTE I KNOW THAT THEY WOULD LOOK A HELL OF ALOT BETTER FOR ANYONE WITH POLISHED PRODUCTS UNDER THE HOOD THAT IS LOOKING FOR A REASONABLY INEXPENSIVE WAY OF UPGRADING THE EXISTING UGLY PLASTIC BOSCH BOV. JUST POST UP IF YOU ARE INTERESTED AND I WILL SEE HOW WE GO FOR NUMBERS. THANKS BRENDAN

Hey just a quick question to some of you guys who have learnt from experience. I have been reading some of the other topics on 4sp boxes that have S**T themselves. My car has a nice 250rwkw at the moment. I know that there is no precise ammount of power that they die at but can anyone tell me if it is likely that I am going to run into box problems in the near future. The rest of the car is pretty stock and I drive it reasonably hard at times. Thanks Brendan

Mne have been off for a few months now and no complaints from me. I could not stand that annoying Fraud rattle anymore.
