  1. Your right, you see, the dealer I work at has 2 branchs, the one I work at is rated around 5th in the region (includes about 50 dealers I think) for service but round 40th odd for sales (this is all based on customer feedback letters that get sent out) but our other branch is rated 35th or close too it in service but fairly high up in sales....
  2. Im a fan of those stripes, wonder what octane colored stripes would look like on my ego XR.....
  3. gotta with every one here. looks tops mate, you have good taste, and straughsberry, I know what you mean with teh auto VS manual.... my plans are to keep my auto T, and get my self a manual BA/F xr8 and go all out on it..... best of both worlds then
  4. I work at a Ford dealer as a tech in service, and ill tell you now, guys in sales, and in spare parts know sweet F.A. about the product they sell, theyre always running into the workshop to ask us mechanics Q's
  5. Ive done dozen of airmix shafts, very easy job if you wanna tackle it yourself, aslong as you have a mate to lift the dash out with...working with an apprentice ive had the job done in under an hour.... but for first timers id give yourself 4-5 hours.... do a search, im sure I wrote up step by step instructions on here at one stage
  6. Yeah but you still will have the oil light on, ive tried it on a BA aswell
  7. well, it wasnt your airfilter causing the noise.... you should have explained compressor surge to them, then they probably would have ping you for being a smart a$$.... cant win sometimes, some coppers think theyre mechanics...
  8. To shed a little ligh on the subject, I have a BF XR6T ZF 6spd, and work at a ford dealer, I put a BF F6 tune in my car for a couple days... thing is, due to different ABS module calibrations (F6 doesnt has DSC) and oil pressure switch (for F6 oil gauge) you end up with warning lights constantly ablaze, also your ABS, T/C and DSC will not work....
  9. "We have King Springs Part No's KFFL-53SSLHD (front) & KFRL-68SSL (rear) to lower your vehicle approximately 30-35mm from factory std height." Does this mean they would be SSL's front and rear? not the usual SL/SSL combination??
  10. this page is asstastic
  11. dont think you find those at Toys'R'Us
  12. Played it a fair bit last night night, pretty impressed, although it would have been nice if they included something with a V8 in it so we could see if theyve improved the engine sound effects over previous GT's
  13. Had a similar story happen to me, about a week after I got my BF, a BA XR8 got traded in at my work (a ford dealer) it had a redback cat back exhaust fitted which had been modified and was too loud for road worthy, so being the generous person I am, I offered the used car department ( I work in service) my perfectly good stock exhuast in exchange for the redback twin 2.5 inch system, not only did it cost me nothing, but I got paid to fit it too!!
  14. I downloaded the GT5 concept and it was just a trailer, not a playable demo, I cant find the demo, is it in the PS store??? never mind.... think I found it
  15. dam.... Ive got a BF mk2 and I can get a set of 4 king springs for $150 out of a BA, guess they wont fit,.... ahwell, ill have to keep looking I guess
  16. I think this 5-60 is an interesting idea, but I also think the ease in which a car is launched from a standing start is an important part of being a perfomance car....
  17. Incase anyone's interested, if you have a look under your bonnet you'll find the the turbo inlet manifold doesnt have the 'broadband' butterflies, its just pretty much the shell....
  18. excactly, the "cop chip" days are gone...... and I service alot of cop cars at work, theres no way I would spend my cash on one that's for sure....
  19. nah, that champange seems to be doin a great job
  20. One of the reasons there arent a lot of xr6t chasers in vic is because of demand for them from the public, I remember when BAs first came out vic police wanted a bunch of turbos but due to demand Ford offered them premium brakes free of charge if they bought XR8s... my work sold a bunch of white BA xr8s to the vic police at the time..... Also why the obsession with ex-cop cars? its all wank factor if u ask me
  21. think ive seen her at my local butcher haha.... wonder if she's after an extra sausage
  22. switching to performance or manual mode adds 100 points to what ever you were at while in 'D'(adaptive) for instance, if your cruising along and your sitting on 60 points, when you shift it into perf. mode you'll then be at 160.....
  23. dont think ive ever seen a BF in that color,...... and I work at a dealer
  24. reset the switchs, this fixes them 90% of the time, all you need to do is remove both switch, pull the push rods all the way so theyre fully extended, then, with you hand pushing down the pedal, refit both switchs, release the pedal, and theyll click into adjustment, DONT pull up on the pedal, it'll undo your hard work
  25. Larry Perkins gave his son the flick??
