Im not to sure about the All Australian Car Day because I have never been to it before. Im going with another car club.

Does anyone know if these will fit over FPV Brembo brakes?

I Had a feeling that might be the case. They have BREMBO written on them. So now I need to get my 20's a few months early.

Hi, I have bought a set of FPV brakes and currently have 18" XHP Sabers so need to find out if they will fit over the calipers and rotors so that I know if I need a new set of wheels Straight away. They have 355mm discs and I have herd that they will be fine with 18's just not sure about the caliper at this stage. Thanks Damo

BPT is going to do my tuning and do a full check over the car for me. rhysy_boi - Ill PM you my number and address if you want to come around. It would be handy if you have done this sort of thing before. I think I should be right but ya just never know. I have the workshop manual as well thanks mate. Ill give BPT a call about the Flapper valve and see what they think. I might give the braided brake lines a miss then and do them later on. Thanks for everyones input. Damo

Thanks heaps for all the info guys. Actuator mod - My tuner is going to do this for me Its a BF so im not doing valve springs at this stage. Flapper valve mod - What needs to be done here? My tuner has not told me I need to do this but if I just take the Turbo unit to him he should be able to do it for me yeah? How long do you think it will take? I didnt think that I would need to regap the spark plugs because they are BF ones? I will buy a new set anyway so any one have the correct part number handy? cobrav8 - Thanks for the post. I am not installing the clutch. My tuner will be doing this and the braided lines for it. Dirty32 - Im Innaloo mate. And yeah it will be all systems go at easter. I thought that I would be best getting it towed to the shop but that just confirmed it for me. TUFXRT6 - I bought the brakes second hand and was told that I would not need to worry about getting braided lines but im thinking that I might as well spend the money and get the best I can all at once. I have bought a heap of parts and am planning on fitting everything on easter weekend so I want to know if I have missed anything. This is the list of parts that I have bought. Full Plasmaman 1000HP Intercooler and Plenum kit 60LB Simmens Deka Injectors Malwood Option 6 Clutch (Tuner is installing) FPV Brembo 4 Pot Brakes PWR Overflow tank Flash 2 Tuner Box Tripod gauge holder with Boost, Oil Pressure and Oil Temp in Coblat Series Red Silicon hose kit Surge Tank and Bosch 044 Fuel Pump Billet CSC from Malwoods Braided Clutch Lines Malwoods Rip Shifter Malwoods Anti-Tramp Kit BPT Thermostat CES 3.5" Exhaust from Dump to Tip When I fit all the parts ill also be changing the Diff Oil, Engine Oil, Gearbox Oil, Clutch Fluid, Brake Fluid, Radiator Fluid, Oil Filter, Fuel Filter and the Oil Supply Screen for the turbo. This is the list of fluids im thinking of using. Engine Oil, Nulon 10w-60 SYN10W406 Gear Box oil, Nulon 75w/90 Part No SYN759025 $79 LSD Diff Oil, Nulon 85w/140 Part No SYN8014025 $79 Brake Fluid ??? Castrol DOT4 ? Clutch Fluid ??? Radiator Fluid ??? Questions that I have. 1. I have never fitted a Plenum before. Is there anything special that I have to do or is it a matter of unbolting the factory one and replacing it with the Plasmaman one? 2. Am I going to be able to drive it about 20ks, very slowly to my tuner and not do any damage? 3. What special tools if any am I going to need? 4. What have I missed? 5. Should I buy braided brake lines? The reason I am asking this is because Im away from Perth at the moment and all the parts are being picked up by a mate and most automotive shops will not be open over easter weekend if I have forgotten something major. Lowering blocks do exist for the BA/BF utes because I have enquired about them before as well. But it depends how low you want to go. You said you only want to drop it another inch or so, That should be fine as long as you have 18" rims or bigger. Im thinking about dropping mine another inch as well so ill be buying a set in the next couple of weeks.

Nice write up and install. I am going to install my xbox one day!!! Mine is just going to go under the drivers seat under a false floor that I made up. Now that I have seen you do this I might do the same. It would be good if the xbox remote was not that big though.

What do people think about the CES 3.5" exhaust?

Nice figures mate. I think im going to be in for a shock going from Stock to 1000HP cooler and plenum kit, Full exhaust, 60LB'ers and 044 Pump. Cant wait.

Im looking at tramp kits at the moment to. Have thought about going down the cheaper line of something like the capa one but think I might just bite the bullet and get the malwood one because in the long run it might end up saving me some money and will save any hassles along the way. One thing I have picked up from this site is that the bottom line is you get what you pay for. I would rather just give malwoods the money and know that I will have a good product that is going to do the job, Well that's the plan anyway.

Im still unsure if it is worth getting these That should be more than enough to keep me happy I think. And thanks for the comments guys.

I helped a mate Turbo his XL Ute and let me tell you it was a massive *% around. He thought it would have been a lot cheaper to do but kept running into problems along the way. Little sh*t like Oil Lines that are uber expensive from ford, A new wiring harness for the whole front of the car was about $500. Lots of things like that that he kept having problems with. And after he got it installed with a much larger intercooler and full custom exhaust he only run 226 RWKS on the tune cos that's all it had in it. And on top of all that he has had more problems since the tune with the manifold bolts always coming loose, Exhaust bolts coming loose. Lots of small things but not the sort of stuff you want to start doing as soon as you get it finished. So in the words of someone who has done it BUY A FACTORY TURBO

Im not sure if this is true but I bought some springs off my local suspension guys and they lowered my ute about 20mm which is nice but not low enough for me, so I went back to them and asked about going lower and they told me that if I was to go any lower I would start breaking ball joints and stuff? I want to be able to have a hint of tyre in the guard at the front and the back level to that. Do you think it would be fine to shave about 10mm of the top of the spring?
