  1. my ute went in for a tune yesturday, first run on the dyno was 280kw, was odd as I should have 330kw. the tuner tried alot of diffent things and couldnt get it over 290kw no matter what he did. he said it seemed to start leaning out a bit but wasnt sure if that was the problem. he said to try fuel filter first as some bad batches of fuel have been around. changed the fuel filter went for a bit of a "drive" and seemed to go better, but have to wait to dyno it now to see if its back. anyone have any ideas? maybe valve springs could cause loss of power?

Does anyone know any reasons why it could be so low, all I have done was put the tailshaft back in after replacing the centre bearing in it, took it for drive then started playing up, replaced no.5 coil pack, seems to be idleing fine now just the low vacuum. Havnt been for a drive yet as front bar is off and headlight out doin some work on it. Any suggestions would be great, no sign of vacuum lines off.

Just recently fixed couple things on my ute, now with all fixed I see that my boost gauge is showing 5 vacuum while at idle, my problem is I thought it used to have around 15 - 20 vacuum at idle, not certain of this though. can any one tell me what vacuum there car has at idle, as I havnt had a test drive yet to see if car is running right.

  5. goin to pick ute up on trailer now, when I get it home I will answer all of the questions what its doin.
  6. sounds pretty bad, could be more then 1 cyl, I knoiw there isnt any power in it. over the weekend I will be looking at it to see if there is a vacum line off anywere, and hopfully also a compression test. see what happens I guess.
  7. after just getting my tailshaft centre bearing replaced, I installed the tailshaft and went for test drive. all was well no noise liek it had, very smooth so seemed that the problem was fixed, turned around 2km up the road headed home then all of a sudden car shuddering, loss of power, engine sound was not good, there is a bit of a ticking sound coming from the engine, the car has a a huge shake when stationary, give a little revs and that shake goes away. Is this a bent rod or somthing else? sorta sounds like that ecu was taking all the timing out and just no power at all. neep help ??????
  8. mine had a similar tick, I pulled it apart turned out to the the timing chain tensioner guide, easy fix.
  9. I had a wierd ticking in mine, no one could really tell just by listening what it was, it turned out to be the timing chain guide. replaced it and all good.

    either order my own or Aplus here in bundy, he done wxhaust and wastegae, actuator and some other minor stuff. got my tune done at bob romano in brisbane, but next time it will be at Aplus.

    the BF mk II are good for 400 cause there got F6 internals, mk I dont, probs can get up to 400 out of it but wouldnt be to safe. mine is a everydriver and I liek to push it a bit, so 350 will do me. after plenum and new piping is on I will retune it with 15 - 16psi and be happy with that

    I only wanna take mine tp around 350, as only a BF mk I. I am thinking of a dum pipe, just I always wanted to get a high mount that's why I never got a cump pipe, but things have changed so I will probibly get one before a retune
  13. hey all, I will on the coast saturday morning, not sure how many of u will be out but I will keep a lookout. I have to drop a mtes 250 ninza off, so if ya see a xr ute with a ninza in the back that's me lol. not even sure were the shop is yet, some were around Maroochydore.

    I have AVO cooler kit, injecters, modded wastegate, 12 psi actuator, stock dump to 3 1/2" cat and 3 1/2" exhasut 1 muffler. runnning 14psi. and have a plenum and new piping ready to go on very soon

    should still eb good even with that engine. I only got a BF mach 1 :( still gonna push for my 350rwkw, got 330 now, and with in a couple weeks my plenum and new piping will be on. and then a retune so hopefully it should be alot better and hope my clutch holds, as I cant really afford another one just yet.

I had been waiting for a while now for my tuner to get this software, as I dont need to travel 4 hrs for a tune. my tuner pluged the software into my BF and wouldnt read it, then after sending codes away almost every week for a few weeks they have over come it and now it reads my ecu, which I am very pleased about. so a tune in the next following weeks.

  24. yeah I have one for sale, but it is to fit the standerd battery, made it myself painted it black. has a bracket on it that I had a oil catch can on it.
  25. I put in full pedders setup, with xtreme ryder adjustable coil overs in the front, peeders leafs int he back with shocks to match. made it a hole lot better. but I am going for swaybars real soon to make it a little but better. but really I think it all depends on how much u want to pay. like the full pedders kit is about 3k but worth it I rekon.
