Started sounding like it had a "Truck Exhaust Brake through the car when you backed off, but this only happenend when you boosted it up, then backed off straight away. This was the symptom of a "bent flex plate". When the bolts were almost out, it sounded like a tin of nuts & bolts being shaken at idle. Stunning, Nothing beats the rush of torque at 3000RPM. A modded T can't be compared to a stocky. Being reminded of the "You play - You Pay", warranty problems.

To get 300rwkw you should get yourself: A CAPA Box, or maybe Elite use the sniper software. 6 Siemens Injectors F6, Monza(Wog Cooler) or Process West Cooler so you can have consistant performance in the QLD heat. Custom Dyno Tune If you want to save some coin, the fatcory CAT may hold you back. My BFII made 305 with the stock exhaust. You can almost guarantee your cat will burn out in 6 to 12 months, so maybe put a better cat in when the factory one dies. AS a safety precaution, the factory drive plate bolts are "finger tight". I know, mine fell out and screwed the drive plate. $800 later it's all good now. BTW: My daily driver has 305 at the wheels. It does 12.4 secs on the Qtr Enjoy it mate. Tony

I reckon a 12.5 (if you leave it in "performance mode") If you try "full manual", make sure you shift between 5500 & 5700. If you've still got the factory CAT you will be loosing bost/power at those RPM's. Tony

Don't worry, it's absolutely normal. My BFII Turbo does it. A hi-flow air-filter will make it louder & a custom tune with more boost will make it sound like a "sick-mate" VL turbo Tony

Don't worry about it. It takes about 2 months with the 6spd auto, to stop hitting your face on the windscreen. Trick is to only put your hand on the shifter when you need to change. Embarassing hitting 1st gear at 70K's

Guys you've got it all wrong. Nick's dyno has got ESP. It actually knows that I put an XR8 snorkel on it, and I ordered the car with the XR8 wheels not the XR6t wheels. Mate go the 6T. I had a BA XR8, sold it and brought an 07 T. A 6T with the mods you want, will be very nice. Believe me, you won't give a crap about V8 rumble, while you trying to hold on to a 6T that delivers over 700NM of torque at 3000RPM. Just my 2 cents Tony

No, don't intend to any circuit work or heaps of drags that will require truck-loads of fuel for a long time. All I want to achieve, is a sleeper that eats R8's for breakfast. Maybe the next XR6turbo (if there is such a thing), or a FForums one. Can't be bothered going by myself. Nick reckons the cat did hold it back. This car will suffer more from heatsoak due to the stock intercooler. Next job is the intercooler and that will be it. It won't be put on for performance reasons, only "SAFTEY" reasons. Tony
