FG XR6T manual Tailshaft

My 2013 FG II's tailshaft has given up the ghost and the car needs a new one, apparently it's beyond being rebuilt. Having real trouble finding one, Ford no longer stocks the part and can't find anyone who does. The manuals use a different tailshaft to the autos, which I think can be found. Does anyone know who might be able to supply a new tailshaft for the car?

If you can't find one at a wreckers... try a driveshaft shop, they'll have the specifications to make one for a reasonable cost to you (and if they don't have the specifications, a few measurements etc would be sufficient)

As Keith already said, a driveshaft shop should be able to sort you out.

A search on google of "driveshaft shop" gave a bunch of promising sounding places.

Maybe get a second opinion as well on fixing your original tailshaft too?

Thanks for the 2 replies. Have been told the current tailshaft is beyond repair and now looking into getting a new one fabricated.
