I’ve had a look at the manifold bolts and it seems that 2 will snug but never tighten, I have purchased a new gasket and some studs to replace the bolts but just wondering if there is something else I will need to do first with the holes or what? cheers.

If that is the case then you pull the manifold off, helicoil them and that will be sorted.
