Keith,

thank you mate, this could solve the issue I've had for over 12 months(a high static noise) even when radio is off.

No one knew how to fix it.

no consistency with the noise though.

I have disconnected the amp, only time will tell.

Cheers

Kybus

Hey @Kybus, the amp mounted in the rear is for the sub only.

Basically, if the noise is coming from the sub then it could be something wrong with the amp, but if its coming from the speakers then it isn't the amp, its something else.

By high static I assume you mean a high frequency tone of some sort. Higher frequency interference only really comes from alternator noise or high speed communications lines.

It also depends how sensitive you are to such noises, fighting noise in speakers in automotive applications is a big challenge and is difficult to solve.

Biddie,

wow thank you.

yeah I disconnected the amplifier in boot. No good still the crazy static noise(like plugging in a electric guitar sound)

I tried disconnecting the Ariel amplifier, no luck there either.

The crazy thing there is no consistency at all with the noise out of the speakers, totally random.

I was just hoping someone else may have encountered the same issue.

cheers

Ky
