What is with this site and the colour choice.... ?

I hear Blueprint this HgAg that but NOTHING ON THE BEST COLOUR

Lightning Strike !!!!!

Subttle, but strong

Unassuming but doiminating

ALL GO with none of the laring bright fluro marker colour

It does not need to show itself by being bright and outrageous

Why cant the LS drivers UNITE in a new colour club and show these commoners that there is more to life than candy colours to say we are quick or boring HgAg to show we are as old as Ken :cold:

no offence but cannot see the reason in gettin such a dull colour for such a nice car.

Hmmm, must remember to mention this small uprising at the next meeting ... looks like the younger, irrational fringe are acting up again.

same here Scootre, I get quite a few oohs and aahs. I don't think photos really do the colour justice. it looks a heap better in the metal!

If you are spending the money to get a nice car.. why not get a nice colour too!

Not something that comes in a MAzda, Nissan,Festiva,holden,Daewoo, etc etc etc.

Our cars are unique, and highly wonderful, why not have a colour that says as much.

And I aint refering to undercoat here either.

Funny thing, on the 3000 service the mechanics scraped the front bumper near the fog light (drivers side) and guess what.... my car was once HgAg.. and someone painted over it with blue print......

Lucky for me too........ much nicer colour.

The whole 'my colour is better than your colour thing' is getting very old.

I loved the Blueprint, it is my favourite colour but chose HgAg instead as I wanted a colour that didn't bring me unwarranted attention but was also classy as well. Go Team HgAg !!

Slightly off topic, but I seem to notice heaps and heaps of XR6's (non-turbo) on the roads but not than many XR6T's. I wonder why ? Is it because lots of them are company cars and the employer's don't let them get the Turbo ?? If not, then I can't see the point of getting the normal XR6 when it's exactly the same engine as the base XT. Does anyone have any other ideas ??

I am not saying any colour is better than another, I am just wondering why LS owners are sooo quiet on this list.

I do know one thing is for certain is when it comes to resale the bright colours are not worth as much as the subttle ones.

I do not need to advertise my car as being fast or unique by having a bright colour, I prefer the green flag dropping and the BS stopping.

I was at the dealers today and saw a LS XR8 and it looked great. I didn't notice how dirty (dealer principals car) until I walked right up to it and then could only just see the dirt. I like a car that can go more than a week without a wash.

I know we are all happy with our choices, I guess some are just more vocal than others about their colour choices.....I am going to be the LS defender for the Team LS

Oh and by the way, If anyone knows a XT Lightning Strike owner that wants a XR6T boot and Wing let me know as I do not think my dealer will be able to do the swap as they do not have any LS XT's on the lot and are not planning any soon. My car will be all go and no show.
