Driveline clunk

Hey guys new to these forums and also owning an xr6 turbo. Only ever owned subarus and Evos. I have A 2012 FG xr6T with 177xxxkms. Service history since new.  had it for a couple of months now and noticed when coming off WOT or hard acceleration there is a clunk noise feels like two clunks. Only ever happens when coming off the throttle hard if you roll off it does not happen. Was wondering if this is diff bushes or something only thing I've done is new centre bearing as it was shot.

fair chance it's the differential bushing if you've done the centre bearing and it still clunks... could be the rear trailing arm bushes, too.

I'll suss that out, thanks for the reply. 👍👍was hoping not diff bushes as I don't want to drop the cradle and do it myself haha.

Keith is bang on the money. Also

get a shop to do the rear bushes and trailing arms.

You tube videos can be miss leading.

It's a decent sized job to tackle at home with a trolley jack and jacks stands.

 

I just removed my tailshaft to replace centre bearing using tips from boob tube and one made it look so easy. Absolutely not.

Uni's are a *beep* to remove as is, yoke nut was over torqued up. Centre bearing put up a fight when removing it.

Got the job done but it definitely wasn't fun.
