First thing I would check based off that post is fluid level. There is a procedure I use, as do others, that ensures the trans is properly filled.

I would love to share everything zf related online but I recently paid $1320 for a zf tuning manual, of which I already knew most of. For this reason I'm not going to share it publicly. Because we're forum buddies I will help you out if you send me your file. To answer your question, having more line pressure wont cause your issues, it will help the trans if anything.

Iv replaced zf oil and filter myself, refilled oil to come out filler hole, put bung in, off hoist, went for short drive, back on hoist and bung out and fired in more oil till it came out hole again. that's the way ford showed me. I thought because I have a external oil cooler the fluid warms up a lot slower and zf doesnt like cold oil?

You have to refill the whole thing from dead cold. If you don't the trans won't be happy.

With the engine off, fill the trans until it comes out. After that it will want nearly another 4 to 5 litres, while in gear and engine running. That is for stock, it might even want a bit more for the external cooler.

Use gulf western syn ts otherwise you may as well chuck anal lube and dx3 in it. Don't use Penrite, it'll make it slip.

Yes you have it in gear and running to fill it for the last part. You should have a helper to start it and shift into drive etc while on the hoist, though it isn't critical if you get it done quickly by yourself.

With the fill plug out, it'll just leak out the hole like it did when you did the first part of the fill. Nothing crazy will happen, just a slow dribble after a couple of pumps when it's full.

Hi Guys, is ba blue top motor the fpv motor and does it have strong rods and pistons like the fg turbo? Theres a long block for sale here with some bolt on parts for a good deal. It must be stronger than toothpick rods ba motors surely? Cheers guys @Puffwagonand @k31th and any other gurus out there.
