Just wondering the difference between head studs and main studs, can they both be put into an fg? Or are they like the same thing

Just try google it will explain all. One is at the top of the engine other is at the bottom.

head studs hold the head to the engine block and main studs hold the main caps and subsequently the crank to the bottom of the engine.

no. just get head studs if you're going for bigger power... the main studs are only done when you do bottom-end work; e.g. when you build your engine.
