Hi,

I am getting my Ute repainted and I wanted to replace the trim around the quarter windows. the plastic is going whitish and the rubber is shrinking.

There is a gap on both sides of about 10mm at the bottom and 5mm at the top, where it fits into the plastic vertical piece.

I have tried both Ford NZ and Ford AU, but these parts are not available.

Has anyone got any ideas on replacements? or even part numbers, so I can google them?

I'm guessing that the only time they'll replace that trim is when you replace the actual door?

 

if so, then a wrecker is probably your only choice.

Maybe try one of the windscreen repair mobs? 

Yep, I have tried the glass people. I don't have a pic but it is on the B pillar, and the trim is the surround around the glass.

 

The paint & panel shop has tried using his resources to locate anything but no luck as yet, either.

There is a network the professionals use to try and locate parts, unfortunately no help in NZ 

maybe just paint it?
