Can anyone tell me if the AP Racing 6 pots with 362mm rotors sit in further than Brembo's? As I need to know if they will fit behind my 19' Vertini Drifts on my BA Turbo.

Cheers

Hmmm if only we had a member called Arronm that had a set of AP brakes.  REAL race brakes you know!

It will be interesting to see if the track of them is different to brembos.

And if there is, that difference is obviously the track pedigree.

I AM actually curious to know the difference in dimension.  I recall a thread where Harrop kits were not as wide so could fit behind more rims, IIRC.

The width of the AP 6 pistons can be 150-152mm. Not sure on the Brembo.

Width of AP carrier 7.5mm. Outer bolt surface of carrier to outer edge of caliper 44.5mm

Width of brembo carrier 8.0mm. Outer bolt surface of carrier to outer edge of caliper 44.0mm

So the outer edge of both calipers from the bolt face of the hub is almost identical.

But remember the AP has a 365 or 362mm disc and the Brembo has 355mm. SO the caliper will sit out further from the axle centre. Depending on the design of the wheel spoke. They may touch or not.

If they clear brembo they most likely will clear the AP.

The rear AP four piston calipers sit out further than the 4 piston brembo by a few mm's. Both 330mm

Thanks  mate, I greatly appreciate you taking the time to measure them for me.  I'm going to try the wheel on a GT with 6 pots tomorrow.
