Can anyone confirm if an FG auto (zf) sedan tailshaft is the same length as the manual tailshaft??

Intermediate shaft is not.

That's the intermediate shaft

A manual one is different to the auto one

Will work as long as they both have either a UJ or CV joint at the centre bearing.
