High Idle For 20-30Secs

Howdy just after some advice, I have a ba mk11 turbo with all the basic mods, but just in the last few days the idle has been playing up, when ever u pull the car up the idle will run up to around 1400 1500 then drop down to normal idle, its doing it all the time ( engine is hot or cold ) if u pull up under 1000revs it will climb to the 1400-1500 then drop down to normal after that its fine u can sit there reving it and it idles and runs fine but soon as you drive again it will do it, I cant hear no air leaks or anything whats the best place to start checking and cleaning etc cheers ??

Assuming there are no air leaks...and because it is a BA I would take a guess and say the TPS...

Thanks deff dont think it has any leaks other then what its doing the car is fine runs fine gonna double check tomorrow if I can see anything when u say tps do u mean fkd or out whack or something cheers

Or an intake manifold gasket leak.

Use throttle body cleaner to look for vacuum leaks... Spray it at all the joins and manifold gasket, if your idle goes up means you got a vacuum leak [emoji106]
