Don't get my wrong NPC make excellent clutches. It's moreso that a single plate puck style would not be my first pick for a street driven car.

Yeh would be better to go a twin plate organic which will hold power but you just won't be able to abuse it with heaps of clutch kick burn outs. Mine is a dcs twin plate ceramic with solid plates and its noisy rattles heaps with the backlash on and off the throttle but I wanted it for abusing the sh*t out of it. I can dump it straight into 4th gear from a standing start off the 2 step when I do powerskids and it never complains at all.

That's I want.

I drive daily on a full button extreme with out to many issues.

Box comes out tonite for a new clutch. Hopefully I have made the right choice

The other option you could consider if you can be without the car for a bit would be to get npc to refurb the stock clutch and run one organic and one cerametallic plate.

Gives you excellent power holding and feel.

What are you getting gaz - also a dcs twin plate or something else?

Bit of a thread hijack but has anybody got any feedback or experience with mantic clutches?

Another tuner did the earlier work to my ute and installed a twin plate mantic, not sure of model and a little bit reluctant to ask for details 3-4 years down the track as no longer using them and haven't been able to locate paperwork

So far seems to be holding up ok, but I treat it reasonably well

And power be going up soon

I'm intrigued...I'll give them a ring on Monday...It doesn't worry me if the car is off the road for 2 weeks

It was a popular mod back in the day when clutch options where limited.

Aaronm on here has an xtreme cerametallic an organic combo in his f6 iirc and speaks highly of it.

I spoke to Doug at NPC about this set up and he advised against it. He said their single plate kits will still out perform a refurbed ap racing twin plate. He mentioned the ap racing twin plate is quite a heavy set up (kg)

I'm very much un-decided on what to get. The organic single plate will be right on the limit when I go e85 & with regards to the button clutch, I have taken your advise and decided against it....I think it would be a big shame to loose the great drivability that the car still has. I'm starting to lean towards a twin plate now, just pay the extra money and be done with it.

I'm going to call NPC back tomorrow and have another chat.
