Hi again,

Tried searching for an answer on here but can't seem to find the right answer.

XR was tuned on bp98 but accidentally filled with caltex 98.

Question is even though the RON rating is the same should I run tank near empty (staying off boost) and stick with bp98?

Thanks in advance

It's not the end of the world, take it easy if you're worried but a good tune should have enough tolerance for a different brand of 98.

Just fill up with BP98 next time and forget it ever happened.

My car was tuned on Caltex Ultimate 98 and there have been times where I have put in peak 98 equivalent or BP98.

I have not noticed any difference to be honest. I know that bp98 would put out more power at the wheels from what I have ready.

I can't say that I have noticed a difference.

that being said, I do not swap fuels/brands often. 98% of the time I use Caltex ultimate, but every so often if I run out of gas and I need to fill up I will go with what ever is around.

I think BP might be the only company that guarantees the quality of its fuel at the point of delivery. That's good enough for me. Pity they don't produce E85!

You think and that's good enough for you.

Surely you are trolling with that comment.

For the record no tune needs or generally that sensitive that the author should worry.
