genuine honest person Member 2,769 Member For: 11y 4m 23d Gender: Male Location: near brisbane Posted 25/05/14 10:24 AM Share Posted 25/05/14 10:24 AM have a one tonne ba xt ute. fitting a xr 6 turbo engine at the moment ,instead of the gutless 3v v8 (200 rwkw) .I am restricted to use load rated tyres (215 60 16 c) light commercial .have spend hours researching tyres that may fit and give me the traction that I need but am un able to find one to suit .so I thought I might go with a 225 60 16 which has the same load rating as my light truck tyres 102 =850 kilos same as the c rated tyres .just 1.5 % larger in hight .but I think it is still illegal to use due to the c rating (6 ply ) might have to risk it ,the ute is just going to be a pig to drive with about 330 rwkw and 760 nm if I use light truck tyres .light truck tyres are just terrible hard compounds ,which have no grip at all 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/88339-215-v-225-60-16/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
