Just wondering if anyone in Brisbane, (and any other town/city that has sustained a pounding), managed to get out of the afternoon storms unscarred?

I know of one Phantom T that wasn't so lucky. Here's hoping the rest of you don't have any damage.

Last Saturday I was lucky that I was just in front of the whopper that hit Ipswich and a few areas on the North Side of BNE. Wednesday afternoon was the scariest drive I have ever encountered. If I was in the N/A, I'm sure there would have been battle damage. Thank God I was in the Honda, tough little bomb. I don't know what the winds got up to but I was on Kessels Rd, near Garden City (BNE) when it hit and I could feel the car lifting from the wind. Couldn't see one metre in front of me and to make things worse, the demister decided to do NOTHING! Winding down the window was the only choice but the rain was almost horizontal, pounding me from the drivers side. Not to mention hail the size of a 20c piece, branches and what ever else flying around everywhere. I was shaking by the time I got home.

Here's hoping that not only your cars survived but most importantly, your families and properties are undamaged.

Judging by how  HOT it is here already.....Lets make this storm No. 7 in a row??? When is it going to stop? Too much falls too soon from the cells that follow the same pattern every day. It's not enough to cool things down so therefore, it happens all over again. :spit:

Told ya the heat's effecting me, man I just love air you can cut with a knife.

we had a pretty good storm here a few months back, was a hard fast and only small rain with huge winds, the amenities building at the local lake had the roof taken off, and many trees were toppled...

wish we could get some rain here without the winds part, cause its like a desert here at the moment :(

glad you were in the honda and not the XR... and when your talking about not being able to see 1m in front of you, it was exact same when the storm hit here months ago...

Yeah, know how you feel Ed etc,

Like I just said in another post, It's those bloody Mexicans stuffing about with the clocks. Poor bloody weather doesn't know what to do when it gets to the border so it just gets in a foul mood and lets fly. True. Watched it on the radar. just travelling along northwards in a nice gentle fashon till it gets to the border.........then.......Kabambagonka....... :banghead:

I tell ya........... :gooff:

Hmm I'll be up there over the weekend.

Should I keep the 1-iron in the car?

Now we cannot have that happen. What would Macka do without his medicine cabinet. That's just cruel. :banghead:
