What is a suitable external fuel pump to use with a Barra turbo from a BA?

I'm doing an engine conversion into a Nissan Patrol, and I think it will be easier to run an inline external pump.

Should I use a surge tank too? Out of interest, are the stock fuel pumps (N/A vs. turbo) the same pump, or are they different?

I'm planning on staying under 300kw. Also, what is the maximum safe limit for a tune on a stock motor with a 3 inch exhaust and bigger intercooler?

Won't that be overkill? I thought the 044 for a high kw tune.

How does the 044 compare the the stock pump?

you could probably just use an 040 - smaller version of the 044 I believe. Considering the offroad work you are doing I think it would be a good idea to fit a small surge tank even if it is only a 1L capacity

The 040 is an internal pump, 044 is external.

If your staying low power, maybe an 070 will do? It's a vl turbo pump, I used one with a mechanical lift pump and surge tank in my jackaroo with a Expensive Daewoo 5.0l conversion

044 can be used internally. Intank that is. Internally sounds rude.

Ah yeah, the 070 is the one, just about everyone used to use a "VL Turbo" fuel pump 15 years ago...lol

We're all over the place here. The flow rates mentioned go from 140lph up to 300lph+ for the 044.

What are the specs for the stock pump, and roughly what amount of power are they good for?
