jack93 New Member 16 Member For: 13y 6m 12d Gender: Male Location: Perth Posted 07/12/13 07:29 PM Posted 07/12/13 07:29 PM Hey guys,driving home from work on the freeway I ended up having to quickly overtake someone in order to get off on my exit, naturally put the gearbox in performance and put the throttle down a little.Car dropped more gears than suspected given throttle position then when I took my foot off the car started shuddering badly for ~15 seconds and the engine light turned on. Running a check on it later in the week but in the meantime, any suggestions? guessing it's gearbox/throttle sensor related. Recently had my tranny coolant hose replaced due to wear and tear on the O-Ring, car also randomly backfires on start-up followed by an engine shut down quite rarely (happened 3 times in the last 3 months) or just won't start on the first time, have to take the keys out and turn it over again (more common). 08 bf mkii xr6t with a ZF auto
