Capa Ford Flash 2

Hi guys. Been absent from forums for a long time. Still got my 03 BA 5 speed man Turbo. Still thinking of getting it edited for better bottom end grunt. It will stay otherwise stock and I just want to maximised low to mid range. Not interested in more top end so I am assuming standard injectors, valve springs etc could cope with that.

Looking at my options. I see CAPA Ford Flash 2 advertised as: "blank, suitable for custom tuning only."

Can these still be custom tuned?

For how much longer?

Are there any disadvantages for me in using this one compared with the xcal3?

Advice apreciated. :-)

Pretty sure for a BA you'll have no issues. XCAL3 is only needed for ZF tuning at this stage I think...but you won't have that issue.Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

Yes, but only for manuals

Who knows, capa always shut off xcals because they love money

Might be more settings in the 3then the 2, I know 3 is the only one that can tune the autos these days though

Xcal3 is only required for zf equipped autos. 4 speed BTR is fine with xcal2.

#5

no support through SCT at all for the xcal2

#6

Sct has cut off the xcal2 all together now have they?

#7

No I updated last night and its still there. Ratter must mean that if the device itself has issues then tough cookies.

pretty much what IH8TOADS said is correct, the box will still work with a non ZF equipped car but if something goes wrong????
